Elijah's face changed colors the moment he laid eyes on those photos.
"Mr. Ulbricht, we're partners," Isaac's patience had evaporated. "I've told you before, we're equals, not in a hierarchy."
Elijah had crossed a line by following him and exposing those photos to the Lte family, breaking the principle of their
partnership.
Feeling cornered, Elijah admitted guilt. "I handled this poorly. It won't happen again."
"It better not."
Had it been anyone else, Isaac wouldn't have hesitated to take action.
But Elijah had once saved his life, prompting Isaac to show restraint.
As Elijah left, he kicked his henchman before getting into the car. "Who told you to leak those photos?"
He had people follow Isaac, but it wasn't to deliver photos to the Lte family!
The henchman took the kick without a peep, "I thought you wanted to stir trouble between them—"

"Isaac is still useful. What good does it do us to antagonize him?" Elijah said, closing his eyes in the car. "Don't pull a stunt like this
again."
"Understood."
Knox heard about Brittany and Caspian's relationship but didn't inform Yuri. Instead, he hired a private detective to dig into
Caspian's background.
He needed to ensure the man's integrity and personal life were clean.
He didn't want to meddle in Brittany's affairs, but a basic understanding was necessary.
All of Caspian's information seemed deliberately erased, leaving the private detective to scrape together only minor details.
After reviewing the findings, Knox remained uncertain.
"So, this is all we could find?" he asked.
"Yes, sir," the detective sighed. "We've exhausted all avenues, but this is as much as we could uncover..."
It was peculiar. Even if someone had intentionally erased his tracks, it shouldn't have been this clean unless the eraser had more
power than they did.
In Craneville, only a few could achieve such a feat.
Knox didn't expect an unexpected gain: "You may go now."
The detective left just as Daniel chfrom school.
Seeing the man in a hurry, Daniel curiously asked the driver, "Sir, who was that?"
"Don't know," the driver shook his head, opening the car door to let Daniel out. "Tired, young master? Head up and rest."
"Okay."
Daniel, more cautious, took an extra glance at the departing detective.
After a bath and changing into a black suit, making him look more charming and youthful, Daniel felt something was amiss.
He snuck into Knox's study, finding it quiet with only a dim light on.
Knocking lightly, he called, "Great-grandpa?"
No response.

He pushed the door open, peeking in to find Knox asleep in an armchair.
Approaching to cover him with a blanket, Daniel accidentally knocked over sdocuments, making a sound.
"Who's there?"
Knox woke up, frowning and scolding.
Startled, Daniel stammered, "Great-grandpa, you're awake."
Seeing Daniel's frightened look, Knox softened. Despite his past indifference to Brittany, he had a soft spot for Daniel.
"What brings you here?" Knox asked as Daniel covered him with the blanket.
"The maid said you hadn't been out for a while, so | wanted to check on you," Daniel explained.
"Good boy, did | scare you?"
"No."
Noticing the documents on the floor, Daniel picked them up and accidentally saw a photo of Isaac among them.
Great-grandpa was investigating Daddy?
With a solemn face, Daniel handed the documents back to Knox. "Great-grandpa."
