Edmund carefully showed only hall his face. He kept locking behind Larissa. Once he was certain there was no one
else, he unchained the door and opened the door fully.
“Get in,” he said, but Larissa did not move.
“Where’s Wendy?” she asked. “Tell Wendy to come out and I go in.”
“Wendy’s not here.” Edmund said.

only thing she cared about.
“Wendy’s line.” Edmund got close to her face again as he used a finger to stroke her cheek obsessively. “I told you.
I won’t hurt her.”
Larissa sneered co olly. “Do you think you still have any trust in me here?”
Edmund thought about it for a few seconds before he suddenly pulled away. “Fine, I let you see her.”
He took out his phone and made a video cal. The call connected quickly and Edmund showed Larissa the phone
screen so that she could clearly see. A Caldorian man appeared on the screen.
“Mr. Rogers? Did you need something?” His fluent Cadorian further exposed and confirmed his nationality.
Edmund ordered. “Show us. Wendy.”
“Okay.” The screen changed to show an unconscious woman on a bed..
Larissa’s heart squeezed with fear as she asked sharply, “What have you done to Wendy?”
“Quietly, darling.” Edmund made a shushing motion with his finger. He lingered a lock of Lairssa’s hair near her ear
as he reminded her.” Wendy’s sleeping. Don’t wake her up.”
“How do I know that she’s sleeping or if she’s Larissa stared hard at the unmoving Wendy as she desperately tried

Larissa’s throal tightened. Hall a minute later, she agreed. “Okay.”
As she was in such a bad position now, she could only obey Edmund’s Instructions. As long as she was obedient, she
might be able to Save Wendy.
“Good glit, my sweet darling.” Edmund smiled with satisfaction as he wrapped Larissa Into his arms. He lowered his
