Chapter 827

She found her phone on the bedside table.

It was already 11:00 am.

Kevan was nowhere to be found.

Larissa turned on the lights. She noticed a set of clean clothes placed beside her pillow,

Kevan had prepared that for her in advance.

A warm feeling filled her heart. Still, the warmth vanished as she felt a soreness spreading throughout her body.

In her mind. Larissa cursed. “That assholer

She struggled to put on the clothes. Alas, the crew–neck sweatshirt was unable to hide the hickeys Kevan planted

on her neck.

Cursing again, she put on a thick layer of concealer to cover the red marks on her skin.

When Larissa emerged, Aster was eating alone in the dining room.

Kevan and Wendy were nowhere to be seen.

She asked in a hoarse voice, “Where are your dad and your godmother?”

“Daddy went to the study to take a call, I don’t know where Godma is. I haven’t seen her since I woke up.” Aster

replied. He asked with concern, “Mommy, are you sick? Why is your voice so hoarse?”

Larissa blushed and came up with an excuse. Im not sick just a little parched. I’ll be fine after drinking some water.”

Aster was still young and innocent, so it was easy to deceive him.

“You should go and freshen up! I pour you a glass of water so you can drink it after washing up!”

As he said that, he got down from the chair and ran to the kitchen.

After Larissa finished washing up, she found a glass of lukewarm water on the dining table. It was just the perfect

temperature.

“Thank you. Aster.”

She bent down and planted a kiss on Aster’s cheek.

“How about me?” Kevan’s voice rang out behind her, startling Larissa.

She turned around to glare at him and asked, “What do you mean?”

Kevan walked up to her and embraced her. He pointed to his cheek. “My good morning kiss.”

His affectionate gestures were natural and seamless. It was as if he had done this countless times before.

Alas, Larissa was the complete opposite.

They were a couple in the past and she had decided to marry Kevan once again. Still, Larissa was unaccustomed to

his intimate actions.

She fell awkward whenever Kevan got close to her, but she never once felt repulsed by him.

Embarrassed. Larissa pushed him away and said in a low tone, “Stop messing around!”

Kevan moved in closer and chuckled. “I’m not messing around. Since you won’t kiss me. I’ll kiss you instead. It’s no

different.” He pecked her on the cheek and pulled back.

Larissa glared at him in annoyance. “Can’t you behave properly?”

She cautiously glanced at Aster to see his reaction, but he seemed calmer than Larissa expected. He was unfazed,

as if he was accustomed to such interactions.

Larissa narrowed her eyes. This wasn’t a good sign.

Having known Larissa for many years. he had only seen her in work mode.

She dedicated much of her time to work.

He didn’t expect her to have spare time for acthit es that were unrelated to work.

“I leamed it back in Caldor,” Larissa sald.

Hearing this, Alen’s admiration was evident on his face. “When it’s done, you have to let me laste it!”

Larissa smiled. “Sure.”

Wrapping his

is arms around Larissa from behind. Kevan snuggled closer to her and interrupted their conversation.

He spoke in a friendly tone to Allen. “You and Freddy should have more of her cake! Larissa’s cakes are even better

than those sold in

stores. Aster and I eat them often, so we won’t miss out.”

Allen’s expression carkened and his gaze lingered on the couple.

Finally, he responded with a smile. “Sure.”

Larissa had not baked for many years, but she could still remember the steps.

It wasn’t that hard for her to pick baking up again from muscle memory.

Two days ago, Kevan and Aster had crammed for this baking competition as wr..

They managed to help out with various tasks and weren’t a burden to her.

Soon, they progressed to the cake–baking step. With the batter in the oven, Larissa had some free time.

Kevan had already prepared the whipped cream in advance.

Strawberries for decoration were already cleaned and sliced, ready to be placed on the cake.
