Kevan was certain that Larissa and Aster had no reason to be targeted by anyone.
“I’m only doing what I should be doing.”
Larissa knew that too. But she just thought that these were all Kevan’s sins from before, and he should

“Friend?” Kevan studied her face.

Kevan suddenly felt a sense of danger.
“Who? Do I know them?” Even though he knew that being inquisitive like this was not a good thing, he
could not control himself,

questioning. But her vague answer did not satisfy him either-it seemed that he would have to have a

“What are you doing, sitting in front of my door at such a late hour?”
Kevan panicked momentarily but was able to recompose himself quickly. He felt for the game card he
prepared beforehand and said, “This company will be launching a superhero game soon. It’s not
officially launched yet, but we are working together with them, and so we got a few game cards from
them. I wanted to try them out with Aster, but He looked down with a bitter smile. “I don’t know if I’ll
even have a chance to do this in the future.”
“Sure there will be.” Larissa blurted out-but the truth was, she hersell could not be sure if Aster could
come back. She just did not want to disappoint Kevan,
Kevan looked up to stare at her.
*Really?” His voice was tentative with hope.

After seeing Kevan off, Larissa was unable to sleep for the whole night due to the caffeine kicking in.

The bodyguards assigned by the company had resumed their duties too once she had returned to
Caldor. She instructed them, “You don’t need to come tomorrow.” With Aster gone, it was meaningless
for her to have bodyguards.
Everything at the hotel was still going in order.
Larissa held several meetings in the morning and was so busy that she could hardly think straight. She
had barely gotten some time off to rest when Gary called her. “I’ve found the man you told me to look
into.”
