Lionel did not respond or stop moving.

“No matter what, we were once in love. Can you really bear to see my child get insulted and called an

illegitimate child?” Victoria questioned miserably.

Lionel finally reacted as he abruptly paused in his tracks. However, he regained his composure the next

moment and entered the bathroom before shutting the door forcefully.

Listening to the sound of water inside, Victoria burst into tears.

That night, in the penthouse suite of a five-star hotel, Scarlett was sitting on the couch while scrolling

through her phone.

Beside her sat Raiden, who was watching her with narrowed eyes. He knitted his brows and said, “It's

already eleven. Aren't you returning to the Xuereb residence?”

Scarlett leaned her head against the pillow and said weakly, “I don't want to go there. If you kick me

out, I'll have to sleep on the streets.”

Raiden slammed his laptop shut and rebuked, “Fix your attitude and speak properly.”

Scarlett pouted and huffed, “I'm not going anywhere tonight. I'm staying here! There are three rooms in

this suite. There should be a space for me!”

Raiden threw her a cold look before standing up and leaving his laptop on the coffee table. “Suit

yourself.”

Without waiting for Scarlett's response, he walked into the master bedroom.

After a few minutes, the sound of water running came from the room.

Right away, Scarlett's gaze fell on the laptop on the coffee table.

She was fortunate that Raiden had his guard down around her. Otherwise, she wouldn't have enough

time to extract what she wanted from his laptop.

Wearing the earphones she had prepared, she lowered her voice and uttered, “I'll turn on the laptop

now. You teach me what to do.”

Five minutes later, Scarlett's lips curled into a smirk. She swiftly removed the memory card from the

laptop and shut it down.

Right when she sat back on the couch, Raiden came out of the room in pajamas.

He took the laptop and headed to the study while reminding her, “It's past eleven. Hurry and go to

sleep.”

“Okay.”

Inside the study, Raiden sat in the swivel chair while staring at the laptop before him with a frown.

Just then, his phone rang.

It was a call from Bailey.

After the call was connected, Bailey immediately questioned, “Raiden, was anyone with you in the past

thirty minutes?”

Raiden narrowed his eyes and glanced at his laptop again. Following a short silence, he probed, “What

happened?”

Bailey sighed. “You're a wary man. I don't even need to guess to know who can touch your laptop right

under your nose.”

Raiden's grip on his phone tightened.

He did have a feeling that someone had messed with his laptop, but he didn't expect his guess to be

correct.

Bailey thought Raiden was mad since he was silent. After all, she had gone a little overboard by

installing a security system on a laptop that was not hers.

“I'm sorry. The source code is crucial to the development of 5G internet, so I have to be careful. I

installed a security system on your laptop while you went out to meet Artemis the other day. Once

someone copies the source code, I will receive an alert.”

“I'm not mad at you. What you did was right. If it weren't for you, the source code would have leaked

out. I can't believe Scarlett still won't give up. She...”

“It's okay. It's natural for women to lose their minds in love. I got in her way, so she's getting back at

Raiden rubbed his temples and chuckled helplessly. “You're always so generous. I bet you're more big-

to the person she wants to give it to.”

“You hacked my laptop and edited the source code. The copy Scarlett got is a fake.”

“Bingo. Did you think she was capable enough to steal the real source code from me? I spent five

years on it. Now that I finally managed to achieve a breakthrough, there's no way I'd let her leak it.”

In a secluded apartment, Rose was leaning against the window as she talked to someone on the

phone.

“Are you sure?”

“Yes, Ms. Rose. I'm certain about it. Mr. Gezmond has been going in and out of a seaside mansion

recently. A woman lives there. I suspect he's keeping her there.”

Rose smirked.

There was no doubt as to who that woman could be.

It's Victoria.

“Continue keeping an eye on them. Find a chance to snap some intimate photos of them.”

“Got it.”

Two days later, the International Programming Competition was held at a convention center in

Hallsbay.

There were only twenty contestants, but they were top computer geniuses from all over the world.

Bailey was the only woman among them.

Despite the small number of contestants, the convention center was packed with tons of people

watching the competition.

Twenty seats were set on stage, where the contestants would be coding on the spot.

In the southwestern corner of the convention center stood three women.

“Is everything all set?” Scarlett asked with a frown as she grabbed Zoey's arm.
