Justin scoffed and sneered, “Veronique, you are quite the saint, aren't you?”

Landing a punch on the wall beside Veronique, Justin said through gritted teeth, “All right. As you wish,
I'll marry Scarlett and persuade her to donate her bone marrow.”
With that, he threw away the cane in his hand and limped toward the end of the corridor.

In the study in Shelbert Condominium, Bailey looked at the pair of children in front of her and sighed. “I
know the two of you like Hallsbay very much, but we really have to leave this city this time. You guys go
pack your things, as we might leave the country anytime.”
Zayron and Susan exchanged looks, seeing the doubt in each other's eyes.
“Mommy, you're doing so well in Hallsbay. Why do you want to leave all of a sudden?”
Bailey did not explain. She caressed Susan's head and said with a smile, “The same old rule—just do
as I say. You don't have to ask so much because even if I explain it, you may not understand.”
Susan wanted to speak, but she was stopped by Zayron grabbing her hand. He gestured for her to stop
asking questions. She pouted and stepped back gloomily.
Zayron gave his mother a smile and said, “Bailey, we'll follow you wherever you go.”
