Her eyes became saddened. “I don’t want everyone to know how precarious of a life I was leading in this marriage.
No matter how they pity me, I won’t escape from everything that I must endure. This is my own choice. No matter
how hard it is, I’ll bear this life of mine.”
“Fia…”
Conrad quickly stepped forward, wanting to hold Fia’s hands. But she stepped back, hiding her hands
behind her.
“That’s all. I still have to finish my designs. I’m going up.”
