There were only a few rooms on this floor, but guards stood at its two ends due to the shape of the building. Although Lily could
not leave her room most days, she would carefully observe her surroundings, including the walls, whenever she had the chance.
The floor where Fred stayed was relatively secluded. In fact, it was where Fred had confined Yasmin before this. No one would
have expected two of the most influential
Yudionians to be held captive on the same floor, let alone in a room.
Lily looked left and right before coming through the window. Since no one was around during the shift change, she jumped to the
floor quietly. At that moment, she heard footsteps. Lily quickly hid in a blind spot in a corner and waited until a guard went past.
Since he had never experienced such a thing before, he thought he was possessed or something.
Even Lily began to sweat as she was unsure if she would succeed. Still, so far so good.
After sighing in relief, she looked toward the room thoughtfully. She turned back to the guard and felt around until she found a
pistol on him.
Since the guards always carried firearms, Lily would be no match for them despite her kickboxing skills. Having a gun would
make things easier.
As she hurried to the door, one of the guards saw her and blew a whistle while another drew his gun. Lily downed the latter with
a kick and stepped on his chest. Immediately after, she knocked the other out cold.
Rick heard the noise, opened the door, and stepped out. However, Lily pointed the pistol at his head. "Freeze!"
He was stunned. "It was you?"
At that moment, the other guards rushed over, and Lily swiftly seized Rich with her gun pointed at his head. "Don't fucking
move!"
The others stopped when they saw that. Those in the room were stupefied as well.
"What are you doing?" Yasmin signed and turned her wheelchair to look at Lily.
"Your Majesty, you know I have no choice." Lily raised her brow and pressed the gun against Rick. "Get in!"
She looked at the queen as she entered, saying, "You left me no choice, Your Majesty."
Yasmin looked up and said impassively, "Do you think you can change my mind by holding him hostage? Besides, you still can't
leave even if I yielded."
"I've never considered getting out of here alive, but..." Lily looked toward the boy lying in bed. “Please spare Nick. He's just a
kid."
Yasmin sighed, puzzled as she asked, “Is it worth doing this for someone else's child?".
