Chapter 359 In Faul Mood
Soon, Nova was tenderly lifted into the car, weirdly tenderly but Nova didn't think it strange since she just took it as
Henry’s pretense in public.
Let alone that it was very likely that grandma was watching the live broadcast as well. He dared not to be rude to
her for the reason of grandma.
In fact, Nova was quite capable of swimming to get out of the water. Given that she didn't know who was the
person pushing her at the back, she thought that she'd better hide her light under a bushel in case somebody tried
to do the same thing to her.
Henry got in the back seat following Nova. The moment that Henry shut the door he scolded Nova coldly, Don't be
silly again in front of me."
Nova took it in silence, then, she unfolded the purse to reach for her phone. But it turned out that the phone died
due to water penetration.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt'Could you please lend me your phone?" Nova plucked up the courage to ask.
Thanks for the reminder,' said with a wry smile, he took out his soaked phone from his pocket, "You owe me a
phone now.’
Nova was lost for words for the time being.
They could have changed clothes in the restroom, Henry just didn't do that for some reason. He chose to return to
the hotel where they stayed as soon as possible.
Fortunately, it was not far away from here. Playing with her fingers, Nova spoke once again, at Garland, "Garland,
can I borrow your cell phone for a while?"
"Yes, boss."
Garland Aaron passed his cell phone over and Nova used it to send a message immediately.
After deleting the message record, Nova gave it back to Garland.
Along the way back to the hotel, there was no more communication among them.
The car pulled over at the entrance of the hotel, Nova made a beeline for the elevator.
As soon as she got to the right room, she rushed into the bathroom for a complete shower.
When she finished all the bathroom activities and came to the living room, she found that Henry was sitting there.
Apparently, he finished earlier than her.
Henry looked up at the sound of footsteps, expression rather grim. "Is there someone pushing you behind you?"
Do you mean that there is someone who wants to murder me?" Nova seemed rather casual with a half-smile on
her face.
"I'm asking you, so just ask yourself."
Nova moved her lips, but she didn't make any sound at last. It was kind of a tacit reply actually.
Then, Henry's conjecture was confirmed.
Looking back on it now, Henry realized that there was no earthly reason for Nova to stage the incident risking her
own life.
What's more, in his mind, Nova was the last one who would put herself at risk in view of her calculating nature.
Who, then, is the murderer? And, why Nova didn't answer the question truthfully?
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmDoubts grew in Henry's heart, and so was a ray of anger.
However, Nova's thinking didn't go that far. She just simply thought that there was no need to get Henry involved
for he had nothing to do with her now. In a word, what was the point of telling him if she was totally capable of
handling it?
She hated most to get entangled with him.
Conscious of Nova's intentional evasion, Henry gave an angry snort and left the scene.
What did Nova do with your mobile phone just now?" He went directly to Garland.
Well...* Garland was cagey about it at first. Does he know that he is violating her privacy?
"I'll see it right away!" Henry didn't buy his evasive answer at all.
What he wanted most now was to find out the person she texted! To be precise, was that man Chester?
Henry was in a foul mood because he couldn't bear the imagination that Nova texted Chester when she was in need
of help.
Garland twitched his eyebrows helplessly. Well, you are the boss. He then took out the phone and restored the
message Nova had deleted.
Thank God! As Garland worked on the screen of his phone he sighed thankfully inside his heart. There is an APP on
the phone which could restore messages deleted by mistake.
Hence, Garland could successfully retrieve the message.
