Chapter 46 Don’t Call Me Mrs. Lamont
The underground parking lot, Pedro wearing a mask, got on the motorhome.
The assistant quickly touched up his makeup while muttering, “Oh my ancestors, there are so many papara zzi
outside. How can you show up so boldly and attract attention!”
He said so, but in reality, it was dissatisfaction with Claudia.
What made Pedro personally go to meet that woman, besides her being slightly good-looking, was that she also saw
Pedro peeling an orange for her.
When did Pedro do this?
“Tomorrow’s news, I wonder how it will be written. It’s better for you not to see this girl in the future…” Before
finishing his words, Pedro gave him a cold glance.
“When did it become your turn to give me instructions on what to do?”
“It’s not that I want to lecture you, Pedro, but if the company finds out about this, do you know how they would
punish us?”
“How should we punish them?” Pedro lazily reclined backwards. “If they are dissatisfied, then we’ll terminate the
contract and I’ll pay the penalty.”
The assistant opened his mouth wide in surprise.
Pedro would rather terminate his contract with the company for her.
Who on earth was that woman?
Pedro looked out of the window, his beautiful eyes devoid of any hint
of a smile.

Claudia got in the car and listened to the assistant chattering all the
way.
“Mrs. Lamont, don’t be shy. Please let me know your requirements for men, and I will find someone for you.”
Did you find a man for her?
“This, let’s forget about introducing the man,” Claudia hesitated.
“How can I just let it go? After the divorce, you have more options for a spouse. Please rest assured, I will choose a

The words were spoken by Edmond’s assistant, making her feel embarrassed and awkward.
Her beautiful eyes widened, and she uncomfortably glanced at Edmond, noticing his indifferent expression as if he
didn’t care about such matters at all.
The assistant would not introduce men to her for no reason unless someone arranged it.
“Rodney, don’t call me Mrs. Lamont anymore,” Claudia laughed helplessly. “I have already divorced your boss.”
Although they hadn’t obtained the marriage certificate yet, the two of them had already tacitly agreed to get
divorced.
The rest was just following the program.
Assistant Rodney made a pleasing smile and quickly changed his words, “Okay, Ms. Lloyd.”
“What kind of men does Ms. Lloyd like? Gentle ones or slightly manly ones?”
Rodney persisted, gripping the steering wheel and looking ahead, naturally unable to see Edmond’s expression.
Having already gotten on the car, Rodney kept asking questions persistently, leaving Claudia no choice but to
respond with a smile, “I like gentle ones.”
“Warm-hearted men, girls all like them,” Rodney immediately noted this key point, “Gentle men also tend to be
more caring.”
Edmond sat beside, and upon hearing these words, his eyebrows slightly raised.
Gentle, neither he nor Waldron could be considered gentle, as for Pedro…
Edmond’s gaze turned a bit cold when he thought about how considerate he had peeled oranges for Claudia.
“What about the zodiac signs? Are there any zodiac signs of men that you didn’t like?”
Claudia felt embarrassed and at a loss when she was questioned about her preferences for other men in her ex-
husband’s car.
Unfortunately, Rodney couldn’t sense this awkwardness at all and continued to ask, “What about age? Do you have
any requirements for a man’s age? Nowadays, it’s trendy to have relationships with younger men, ‘little fresh
meat,’ so is it okay as long as the age difference is
within eight years?”
“Rodney,” Edmond interrupted him, “Drive carefully.”
Claudia finally breathed a sigh of relief and said, “Just get off at the supermarket ahead.”
In the Lamont family’s habit, they preferred to do it themselves rather than ordering takeout. In the past, the
Lamont family’s maid would take care of everything, but now she had to do the shopping herself.
When she came out of the supermarket with a bunch of things, she noticed that Edmond’s car was still parked by
the roadside and hadn’t left.
Was she waiting?
Claudia’s lips curved upwards.
She glanced at the large and small packages in her hands, hesitated for a moment, and then walked toward the
Maybach.
Approaching slowly, I looked through the car window and saw everything inside, including the people and events.
Rosalie leaned on Edmond, feeling incredibly intimate.
From this angle, Edmond’s expression cannot be seen, Claudia doesn’t care, nor does she want to.
She paused for a moment, then quickly turned around and walked in the opposite direction.
In the car, Rodney looked at the suddenly appearing Rosalie, feeling a bit awkward.
Rosalie affectionately embraced Edmond, “Edmond, how did you
know I was shopping here?”
Edmond frowned and discreetly shifted to the side.
“I came here to handle some matters,” he responded indifferently, glancing outside.
“Is the task done? Why don’t we go back first?” Rosalie blinked her innocent eyes and murmured softly, “Or we can
go and see wedding dresses. I know you need a month of cooling-off period for your
divorce with Claudia, but I want to marry you sooner. We can set a date in advance, and once you and she have the
divorce papers, we can have the wedding, what do you think?”
Edmond stared at her fixedly, but he couldn’t utter the word “okay” despite her anxious gaze.
“Edmond…”
Rosalie worriedly called out to him, “Are you regretting it again?”
“If you don’t want to, I won’t force you,” she said. As she spoke, tears “pitter-pattered” down from her eyes, like
pearls falling freely, one by
one.
She became anxious as she didn’t receive any response for a long time, and she regretted saying that sentence for

She was not really generous, she just wanted to take a step back to move forward.
After the words were spoken, she began to feel afraid again, afraid that Edmond would really go along with what
she said and not marry her.
Edmond’s eyelashes drooped, and his voice lowered: “Let’s stick to the original plan.”
His voice was deep, making it difficult to gauge his emotions.
Upon hearing these words, Rosalie burst into tears of laughter, her lips curling up and the pride in the corners of
her eyes impossible to hide.
No matter who was in Edmond’s heart, as long as he was willing to marry her, over time, she would slowly remove
the thorn in his heart.
“The current marriage law states that as long as one party does not want a divorce, the marriage cannot be
dissolved. Edmond, I am very scared. What if she changes her mind and doesn’t want a divorce after a month?”
“I don’t want a divorce…” Edmond sneered, “She won’t.”
She must have wished for a divorce from him.
“How could she not know? She always suspected that I caused harm to her grandmother. If she finds out that you
want to marry me, she will definitely try to stop it,” Rosalie quietly observed his expression, her words filled with
probing.
She was not afraid of Claudia’s obstruction, but if Claudia was recognized by the Friedan family before that, maybe
this marriage would really not happen.
She repeatedly confirmed with Edmond, just to urge him to marry her quickly.
“Don’t worry, she wouldn’t have stopped us,” Edmond chuckled helplessly.
She was the one who pushed for the divorce, and even before the divorce was finalized, she was already openly
seeing other men.
How could someone who was so eager to get rid of him cling to him so persistently?
When Edmond thought about her being with another man before their marriage, his heart felt like it was being
clamped by something.
“Let’s go,” Edmond’s voice was chilling.
“Where are you going?” Rosalie’s voice weakened.
“Didn’t you say we were going to see wedding dresses?”
