Chapter 652

Nicole thought that Pierre would sneak in, but she didn't expect him to be so bold as to wait for an invite to enter

her humble abode. Her eyes darkened at the implications behind his actions, and she curled her lips into a

contemptuous grin.

"Pierre, you're quite interesting. So, you have the guts to come to my house now that you are wanted by the whole

city?”

"It's all thanks to you, isn't it?" Pierre quipped leisurely as he barged into her villa and closed the door while he was

at it.

There was no fear on her face as she glared at him while he raised his voice and continued, "Miss Anderson, I've

figured out one thing as I was in hiding. I want to have a few words with you if that's alright with you?"

She closed her eyes briefly and slowly clenched her palms into fists. Then, her eyes snapped open as she loosened

her fists and smiled.

"Sure. I have some questions to ask you too, Dr. Toth. Please, have a seat." She walked to the couch and gestured

for him to sit. He didn't bother with pleasantries as he quickly made himself comfortable.

Although he lived in the house Bryan prepared for him, he couldn't be bothered to care about his appearance due

to the resentment festering within his heart. As a result, he was sporting an uneven stubble and exuded a palpable

sense of despair. He did not look like an average person at all. A stranger would take one look at him and quickly

deduce that he was a man down on his luck.

Pierre rudely picked up Nicole's glass and gulped down the water before slowly saying in a deep voice, "Why did you

have to push me so far? Spare me, or I may drag you down with me."

He stared right at her as he spoke. Although his words pleaded for mercy, his eyes were like that of a starving wolf

as he fixed her with a predatory gaze.

Nicole curled her lips and sneered. Then, she cut to the chase and jeered, "Spare you? Did you ever think about

sparing others when you did those horrible things?"

He leaned back against the couch, tapped his fingers against his knee, and feigned ignorance with a frown as he

quipped, "I have my reasons. Norman would have ruined my life if I hadn't killed him. It's all your fault! Why did you

insist on arresting Norman? White had been dead for so many years, and I didn't kill him! White died because of his

weakness. If he hadn't been so weak, he should have gotten over it years ago. How is this my fault?!"

Nicole felt the rage inside her burning as she listened to his senseless arguments and looked at his confident face.

Not only did he not feel remorse, he was also trying to argue his way out of it.

She pursed her lips and didn't say anything while Pierre grinned and continued, "I didn't kill White. I spread rumors

about him, that's all. So, why are you acting like a dog with a bone by running me down so persistently?"

Finally, she couldn't take it any longer as her lips widened into a feral grin. Her eyes were filled with disdain as she

glared at him and snarked, "Yes, you spread rumors about him, so if Norman had snitched on you, you would have

been charged with three years in prison because of spreading false rumors. But it's different now. You killed

Norman and poisoned my son; I have solid evidence to prove that! So, even if you can be spared from the death

penalty, you'll be faced with a lifetime of imprisonment!"

Pierre knew about that, so he never intended to come to an understanding with her. Instead, he wanted to drag her

down with him and suffer together.

"You must be delighted now that Norman is dead, right? So, cut the crap, will you? Even if it were my idea back

then, he would not have done those things if he wasn't okay with it. He deserved to die, and I got rid of your enemy.

Shouldn't you thank me?"

Nicole remained unmoved.

Pierre paused and cleared his throat before continuing, "White thought too highly of himself back then. If it weren't

for his pathetic pride, he wouldn't have died because of some stupid misunderstanding!"

She was utterly incensed by his words and clearly repulsed by him, but he had no intention of backpedaling

because he was saying all these things on purpose.
