My Billionaire Family 320

Chapter 320

The familiar morning in Saphira had returned. Cherise stood on the balcony of her room, taking a long, refreshing

breath of fresh air. Her mood was clearly lifted. After a moment, she looked over at Morris, still deep in sleep, and

smiled softly.

The night before, he'd overindulged a bit. Dennis had made the liquor himself, and it was strong, leaving Morris

unaware of Cherise's movements as she got up. Rather than disturb him, Cherise decided to let him sleep a little

longer. She changed into sworkout clothes and tied her hair into a ponytail.

Leaning over the bed, she whispered softly, "Mr. Chivers, I'm going out for a run."

As she spoke, she brushed her lips lightly against his. Morris, still lost in his dreams, smiled at her touch.

Before she could pull away, his hand reached out and gently pulled her head back, deepening their morning

moment. A few minutes later, Morris reluctantly let her go. Cherise, her cheeks slightly flushed, looked at him

shyly. "Aren't you worried Dennis and Bella will notice your door open and jump to conclusions?"

"Do you think they would?" Morris asked, a little unsure.

Cherise couldn't help but laugh. "It's rare to see you looking guilty."

"Of course, it's like meeting your parents for the first time. | need to make a good impression," he replied as he

sat up, ready to head to the next room.

"It's a little late for that now," Cherise said. Morris paused. Outside their door, voices were already drifting in.

The cottage had good soundproofing, but Dennis and Bella were used to the village and spoke loudly.

As they went up to water the plants on the second-floor balcony, Bella glanced into Morris's room, noticed Morris

was missing.

"Dennis," Bella said anxiously, tapping his shoulder. "What's going on? Why is Morris's door wide open, and

where is he? The bed's made, like it hasn't been slept in. "I've been sitting downstairs in the courtyard since

morning, and | haven't seen anyone leave. Did you get him so drunk last night that he ran off to Betrico? "You

should've listened when | told you to drink less. What do we do now? He must think our family is uncouth and left

in the night."

Dennis, still a little dazed from the previous night's drinking, straightened up and replied, "Huh? No way! Morris

doesn't seem like the type to be so petty." "Well, | guess I'll take the blfor this," he said, looking worried.

"What do we do now?"

The two of them stood in front of Morris's door, looking a little down. Dennis looked especially serious, like he'd

done something terribly wrong.

Knowing their personalities, Cherise glanced at Morris, then grabbed the doorknob and stepped outside. As

usual, Morris followed closely behind Cherise. "Good morning!" Cherise greeted them with a warm smile.

Morris followed sunt. "Good morning, Dennis, Bella!"

Seeing them both, Dennis and Bella smiled back, though both sensed something was off. Dennis raised his voice

and blurted out, "Wait, Morris, you didn't run off, did you? You spent the night in Ms. Leach's room? Just the two

of you?" His voice was louder than usual, drawing attention from Leo, Truman, and others upstairs, who hurried

down, concerned something strange was happening.

At Dennis's words, Cherise and Morris, who had been calm just moments before, now found themselves blushing.

Bella, who was more used to such situations, gave Dennis a light pat on the shoulder. "Dennis, why are you

shouting? The whole village is going to hear you. It's perfectly normal for young couple to be close."

Rather than ease the awkwardness, Bella's words made things worse. The group on the stairs tried to hide their

laughter behind their hands.

Morris rubbed his temples and stepped forward to address Cherise. "Um, I'm a light sleeper. Without Cherise, |

just couldn't rest. So, | decided to stay with her for the night."

He smiled awkwardly. "But don't worry, my intentions are completely respectful."

Cherise nodded in agreement. "That's right. There's nothing strange about it." Bella, amused, grabbed Dennis's

arm and started walking down the stairs.

As they passed Cherise and Morris, Bella smiled and said, "I was young once too, and everything is perfectly

fine! Dennis and | will prepare breakfast now. Con, Dennis, hurry up!"

Before Dennis could fully react, Bella had already pulled him down the stairs. Once they were gone, Morris

looked up at the group still standing on the stairs, his expression more serious now. "Hmm?" Truman and Leo

waved their hands and spoke in unison, "We understand completely!"

With that, they quickly scrambled down the stairs, disappearing from sight. What had started as a quiet morning

turned into a funny, unexpected situation that left everyone in good spirits?
