Jessica’s dress was very revealing, so she had to straighten her back after taking a seat.
The phone she had placed on the table constantly lit up. It was the message from Hannah.

not the reason why you married Lucas.”

Terry didn’t speak. He just looked at her.
Then he sighed and said, “It was Lucas. I just want to know, if it weren’t him and it was me, would you have been
willing to get to know me? But given your reaction just now, I think I know the answer.”
He paused for a moment. “I know this is not the right time to mention that night. It’s too vile.”
Then, Terry got up and walked directly to Jessica’s side. He raised his hand to take a tissue and gently pressed it
against the corner of her eyes. “But still, I’d like to take the chance and be with you.”
He didn’t conceal his intention at all. Looking at him, Jessica didn’t even know what to say.
