Chapter 11
Chapter 11.
Aisha’s POV.
“Nelly?” I groaned, turning to the space beside me. It was as if she had disappeared into thin air. I sat
up, trying to make sense of what had happened.
Maybe she had left early in the morning, without saying good morning. I felt a lump form in my throat, a
bitter taste in my mouth. I tried to shake off the feeling, but it lingered, clinging to me like a shadow.
I stood up, my limbs heavy and stiff. I needed to move, to get out of this room, to feel something apart
from the emptiness that was eating me up inside.
I stood up and made my way to the bathroom, my towel in hand. As I passed by the mirror, I caught a
glimpse of myself and winced. My hair was a tangled mess, my eyes swollen and red. I looked as if I
had been through a battle, and I felt every bit of it.
I ran my fingers through my hair, trying to detangle the knots. I let out a hiss of pain as my fingers got
caught, feeling like I was trapped in my body. I closed my eyes, trying to breathe through the
frustration.
I opened my eyes, expecting to be alone, but instead I saw him. He was standing in the doorway, his
eyes locked on mine. I froze, my breath caught in my throat.
“Calm down,” he said, his voice soft and reassuring.
I attempted to speak, but the words stuck in my throat. “My name is Harry,” he said, breaking the
silence.
I nodded, swallowing hard. I felt like a child, unable to speak, reduced to simple gestures.
He began to move towards me, his footsteps slow and deliberate. I pressed myself against the wall, my
back flat against the cool surface. He stopped a few inches away. from me, his body radiating heat. His
breath was warm against my face, making my skin tingle.
“Who hurt you?” he demanded, his voice low and threatening. I struggled to find the words, my brain a
jumbled mess. “I will make that person pay,” he said, his voice hard and cold.

I watched as the color drained from his face, his expression one of shock and disbelief. A smirk spread
across my lips.
“So now you are at a loss for words, are you?” I asked, the smugness in my voice unmistakable. “What
happened to all your bluster and bravado?”
I couldn’t help but feel a sense of satisfaction, knowing that I had knocked him. unbalanced. He
seemed at a loss for words.
I burst out laughing, the sound filling the room. “I was just joking,” I said, the grin on my face spreading
from ear to ear.
“That was an expensive joke,” he said, a hint of annoyance in his voice.
“I guess it was,” I replied, my smile turning into a smirk. “I just couldn’t resist, you were trying to act like
an overprotective mate, we barely even know each other.”
“Well, I was just…. concerned,” he said, rubbing the back of his neck, his eyes avoiding mine.
“Oh, please,” I said, rolling my eyes. “You were being a typical overprotective mate, trying to control
everything.”
He sighed, his shoulders sagging. “I suppose you’re right,” he said, a sheepish grin spreading across
his face.
“Now, can you please move out of my way? I’m starting to feel claustrophobic.”
“Of course,” he said, stepping aside and giving me some much-needed breathing
room.
“So, who hurt you?” he asked.
“What if I say it’s you?” I asked, a mischievous glint in my eye.
His eyes widened, his mouth falling open in shock. “But we have barely even talked for twenty minutes!
How can you…” he began, but then his eyes went wide again, realization dawned on him? “Oh,” he
said, his voice barely above a whisper. “Is it because I’m mate?”

I nodded.
His eyes immediately turned pale, his skin losing all its color. “Have I done something

to hurt you unknowingly?” he asked, his voice quivering with emotion. “Or have we met somewhere,
maybe as kids, and I hurt you then?”
I shook my head, my heart aching at his insecurity. “No, you haven’t.” I said firmly.
“Then what have I done?” he asked, his voice almost pleading. “Or is it because I’m a Gam ma?” I
sighed, taking his hand in mine.
“No, it’s nothing like that,” I said. “It’s…complicated.”
“Please, make me understand,” he pleaded, his eyes wide with desperation.
“You don’t know where I am coming from,” I said, my voice soft and gentle. “I don’t know anything
about you. Why are you so excited to see me,” I said, my voice full of
emotion.
“I have always yearned to be with my mate, and now, the moon goddess has blessed me with a
beautiful lady. I just can’t help but be excited.” I took a deep breath, trying to wrap my head around his
words.
“But that doesn’t mean you can just push yourself onto me,” I said.
“Are you going to reject me?” he asked, his voice cracking. I kept quiet, unable to find the words to
respond.

I felt my stomach twist into knots, my heart racing. I wanted to say yes, to make him go away, but I
couldn’t bring myself to do it.
My feet carried me to the door and I opened it, my heart pounding in my chest. “I think it’s time you go,”
I said, not daring to look at him.
He was silent, but he made no move to leave. “Please, Harry,” I pleaded, breaking. “I need you to go.”

I heard footsteps heading towards the door, but then they stopped. I held my breath, not knowing what
to expect.
I finally raised my head to look at him, and my heart broke at the sight of him. His eyes were filled with
hurt, his expression one of anguish.
“If you need me, I’m on the second floor,” he said, his voice strained. “My door says. ‘Gammer Harry’
on it.” I nodded, unable to find my voice.

Chapter II
I watched as he turned and walked away, my chest aching with every step he took. As the door shut
behind him, I felt a deep sense of loss.
I dragged myself to the shower, my body feeling heavy and lethargic. I peeled off my clothes, feeling
the weight of the world bearing down on me. I stepped under the shower, the water cascading down on
me like a waterfall.
I closed my eyes, letting the water wash over me, trying to wash away the hurt and confusion. Ast the
minutes ticked by, I began to feel a little lighter, but still, Harry’s words haunted me. He seemed like a
good guy, but I feared what would happen if I opened myself up to him.
The last time I had genuine love, it was a disaster, Carl was nothing but a puppet, dancing to the tune
of Astel.
