Maxcus shook his head vigorously, "I swear to you that we definitely don't have any enemies at that level. We're not

crazy enough to fight against our betters!"

Maxcus could tell what Jack meant by that question.

Jack was guessing that those four disguised humans were enemies of Maxcus' group.

Jack raised an eyebrow as he looked at the four that were in disguise with a sharp expression, trying to guess who

they were.

They were on the Toman Battlefield. Normally, there was no need to kill each other unless there were any grudges.

That was because killing each other did not yield any rewards unlike in Chaos City.

If anyone met each other, they would usually just observe each other from a distance. Those with ill intentions

would mostly be like Tanner, threatening to kill others unless money was given.

The four in front of them were clearly not there to rob them. They were in disguise, so they must have already

planned it.

From a distance, it was impossible to tell that those were disguises. Most importantly, all four of them were quite

strong.

Normally, warriors at that level would not bother attacking regular warriors unless there was a reason to. However,

Jack immediately discarded the notion of revenge. Maxcus' group was all around Lourain's level in strength.

Warriors at that level would normally never make an enemy out of the strong. Other than himself, the few behind

him were all very average in strength. Just two from the opposite side would be able to deal with them easily.

The most crucial fact was that those four were still in disguise.

The situation was just incredibly strange. Jack smelled the scent of a plot.

Brock could not help but say, "Did you already notice us before?"

Brock started to regret it the moment he said that because his words made things a bit obvious. However, since he

had already said it, there was no way to take it back.

He held his head high, "Or are all of you just idiots who don't even react in the face of death?"

Lenny merely rolled his eyes when he heard all of that. He wondered what was wrong with Brock's head to say all

of that.

Jack raised an eyebrow as he looked at Brock who was in a green demon mask in amusement, "Do you have any

grudges against us?"

Brock's lips twitched. His anger immediately soared.

That guy did not just ignore his question but was questioning him back.

He looked at Jack and saw that Jack was dressed quite plainly, lacking any of the special symbols of a warrior from

a second-grade world. It was obvious to him that Jack was no one worth noticing.

He would normally not bother giving someone like that the time of day, but that group was just too strange.

It made him curious, so he said, "I'm asking you if you already noticed us before this. Who said you could question

me?!"

Brock was speaking in an incredibly abrasive tone as if Jack owed him a lot of money.

Maxcus and the others shrunk back a bit after being shouted at like that. After all, Brock was stronger than they

were. Even with the disguise, it was still obvious.

Maxcus and the others stood behind Jack somewhat fearfully.

Jack laughed and said, "Why do I need to answer your question if you don't answer mine?"

As he said that, Jack showed no emotion other than a slight smile on his lips. He seemed incredibly relaxed.

It was as if the ones in front of him were not strong warriors, but just regular commoners.

Jack's reaction caused the four of them to feel strange.

Brock was incredibly hot-tempered. That smile on Jack's face felt incredibly glaring to him. On top of that, Jack's

words made him feel like Jack was mocking him!
