Elisa’s brows furrowed, but she didn’t say anything.
She thought that it was about work.
She followed him into his office. After Gareth shut the door, he looked at her coldly.
Elisa was confused. She stood at her spot without moving and waited for his instructions.
But Gareth walked to her and said coldly, “When are you going to stop messing with me?”
“Messing with you?” Elisa was baffled. “Why are you saying something so strange?”
She felt that she had never messed around with him before getting married until now.

Elisa was baffled.
She knew that Gareth felt it was beneath him to explain or clarify.
Something must have happened to make him think that she was playing around.
But what was worth her messing around with?
Thinking about it, she came to her senses and looked at Gareth. “You think I’m messing around by pushing out an
outstanding employee?”
Gareth was dumbstruck.
The cold air around him intensified.
Why is Elisa so incredibly stupid at times?
Elisa thought she was right, so she said in a low voice, “Even though Tina is excellent, she always thinks she’s right.
She insists on doing things her way. This doesn’t fit our upcoming projects. I’ve told her many times, but she’s very
stubborn.”

She didn’t explain this because everyone knew that the human resources manager didn’t have authority previously.

but to tolerate me for this project. You could only make her leave Wickam Group to stand up for me, but you’re
actually furious, and you think I’m going up against you, don’t you?’
Gareth’s expression seemed to have improved slightly, but what she said at the end made him laugh in his rage.
“Yes. You’re so good at it!”
They could never see eye to eye when they spoke.

And she wasn’t messing around.
Gareth’s expression darkened.
“Elisa Benett!”
Gareth ground his teeth and spat out her name.
Elisa furrowed her brows again. “Is there anything else?”
Gareth laughed in his rage again. “You’re fearless. It’s the first time I see someone going above and beyond.”
