Gareth wouldn't stoop to such extremes, even if he wanted to fake being ill.
Elisa checked Gareth's pulse and was alarmed by his irregular and erratic beats.
The poison inside his body was wreaking havoc, disrupting his system!
Fortunately, Elisa had her medical toolkit and emergency pills in her bag, which she had brought to
the hospital.
Without them, she wouldn't have been able to save Gareth in this unfamiliar place with no available

After giving Gareth the emergency pill, Elisa immediately called Thomas.
Thomas's instincts kicked in, sensing something was wrong as it was in the late hours of the night,
"Is there something wrong, Ms. Benett?"

Elisa wanted to find someone to help get Gareth into the car because his current condition wasn't safe for him to
move around, even after taking the medication.
Gareth needed to stay still and lie down for at least an hour to avoid complications like blood flow disruption or
severe bleeding.
Thomas was thrown into a frenzy when he heard about Gareth's poisoning incident at Garner Residence.
He promptly set aside the files he had been occupied with and raced to the location.
Just like what Elisa had anticipated, Thomas arrived at Garner Residence within slightly over an hour.
After examining Gareth's pulse and verifying its stability, Elisa joined Thomas in carefully transporting Gareth off the
premises.
Meanwhile, Linda received an unexpected call from her enigmatic boss.
The person on the other end of the line interrogated, "What's going on between you and Elisa Benett? Gareth
Wickam is now unconscious and being escorted out of Garner Residence. Did you have anything to do with it?"
"Elisa reached out to me, saying she wanted to be friends. Initially, I thought she had discovered something, but it
became apparent that she had a motive. So, I decided to go along with it, trying to uncover her motives. As for
Gareth being unconscious, I honestly have no clue."
Linda was equally clueless about Gareth's condition.
The fact that she was clueless about important developments like this explained it all.
Her boss warned, "You better watch out. You know what to do if Elisa exposes your identity. As for now, the plan
isn't fully developed yet, so stick to the original one and don't make any reckless moves!"
"I know."
Linda had no choice but to concur with her boss, whose identity remained a mystery.
However, there was no denying one fact. The makeup artist hired by Mrs. Garner was a true genius.
And even if Elisa managed to catch a glimpse of their agenda, Linda would never give up her life just

Meanwhile, Elisa had intended to send Gareth back to Wickam Manor. However, Thomas brought up
Julia in his concern, "Ms. Benett, Old Mrs. Wickam still doesn't know about Mr. Wickam's poisoning
and injuries. If we send Mr. Wickam back to Wickam Manor, Old Mrs. Wickam would find out..."
"Mr. Wickam has multiple properties and houses elsewhere. There's no need to go back there,"
Thomas remarked.
He was concerned about Gareth's injuries and simultaneously attempted to reconcile Gareth and
Elisa.
Thomas furrowed and voiced his worry, "We can send Mr. Wickam back to Wickam Manor alone, but
what if his condition worsens? Ms. Benett, I understand you no longer wish to revolve around Mr.
Wickam. And it was his fault to have wronged you in the past. But we're dealing with a person's life
here. You can't just stand by and let him die, can you?!"
