James would be taking care of the production company, so Genevieve decided to rest at home for a couple of days.

She got to know from Timothy that Charlotte was having a party on a luxurious cruise ship given by hier dad. She had invited a number of socialites, and that included Sylvie.

Charlotte was the youngest dauglitcr of Benson Corporation’s boss, the largest real estate tycoon in the country. She had older siblings who were very capable, so many people might not know about her.

However, projects such as Regality Gardens, Azalea Court, and Swallow Garden completed by Benson Corporation were well-known.

Charlotte was the typical high society lady from a wealthy family.

Timothy’s father had a pretty good relationship with Charlotte’s father, Jiminy Benson, and both Timothy and Charlotte were in the same circle as well. Their families had initially tried to matchmake the two young people, but there was no spark between them.

Genevieve found out about what Charlotte liked from Timothy and knew that Charlotte was a vain woman. Thus, she got Timothy to send Charlotte some of the styling ideas that Jane had done for other artists.

True enough, that sparked interest in Charlotte, and she added Genevieve as a friend through Timothy.

Genevieve chatted with Charlotte for a while.

At the end of the conversation, Charlotte had engaged Jane as her stylist for the party, and Genevieve managed to get herself invited to the function as well.

After her chat with Charlotte, Genevieve went to the film department to look for Jane. “Janc, I need your help on Saturday. We may have to go out to sea. I’m not sure if your body can take it.”

“Are we going on a cruise?” Jane thought about it and responded with a smile, “It’s fine. I will take some medicine with me.”

Even though Janc was all right with it, Genevieve was still ill at ease.

On Saturday aficrnoon at the harbor, Genevicve phoned Jermaine and got him to ask a cardiologist to come along onto the cruise ship.

Jiminy doted on Charlotte very much. The custom-made cruise ship had three tiers and was fully equipped with more than thirty employees.

There were several types of entertainment programs on board. On the topmost level, there was a retro nightclub that could accommodate more than a hundred people,

The cruise ship was set to sail at live in the afternoon. After one round of cruising, it should return to the harbor at around cight in the morning the next day.

Duc to Charlotte’s status, countless people would try anything to get an invitation to her party. Everyone who was invited wanted to gain something out of their friendships with her.

However, Charlotte would always invite whoever she wanted based purely on her mood.

Jane followed the staff to Charlotte’s cabin for her styling session while Genevieve went to the deck.

Since Charlotte did not like to be disturbed while she was getting ready, the rest of the socialites had no choice but to find a place to have some coffee and chat with one another.

Everyone wanted to get chummy with Charlotte. At the same time, all of them wanted to look like celebrities, so all the ladies were dressed to the nincs.

After all, all the men who attended the function were as wealthy as Timothy. Those ladies would be lucky if they succeeded in hooking up with one of those influential men.

A few of the socialites were sitting under the shade and complimenting each other. One of them was Coco.

She was wearing a one-shoulder blue dress from Desiree, and it was obvious that she was up to no good.

Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted Genevieve on the deck, and her expression changed immediately. She seemed wary, but at the thought of something, she suppressed her fear.

Coco made a sound to attract Genevieve’s attention. “Whoa. I didn’t know that random people are allowed to board this cruise ship.”

“Are you talking about me?” Genevieve walked toward the shaded area and sat down graciously. “I’m invited by Ms. Benson herself.”

She picked up a glass of champagne and took a sip.

Genevieve then leaned lazily against the chair before looking at Coco with raised brows. “Why don’t you get her to chase me off the cruise ship?”

Genevieve was dressed simply in a light gray suit with a black camisole inside.

However, it did not take away the fact that she was truly from a wealthy and powerful family.

Naturally, she exuded an air of nobility. After the past few years of gaining experience in the workplace, her aura was more prominent than ever.
