Chapter 55 Her Poor Taste After Divorce
Freya accompanied Daniella to wait for Radley. They sat together on the sofa, holding hands and
reminiscing.
Freya felt like a stranger to the person that Daniella described as herself.
However, she could tell that Daniella loved her very much.
“Grandma, don’t worry. Although Radley and I are divorced now, you are still my grandma.” She held
Daniella’s hand and felt warmth in her heart.
They chatted for a while until Radley arrived.
The receptionist on the first floor led him to the office. He exuded a strong aura and coldness.
When he entered the office and saw Daniella, his expression softened as he called out, “Grandma.”
Daniella had already known about their divorce, and she didn’t want to talk to him at all. She gave
Radley a disdainful look and continued chatting with Freya.
“Okay, it’s settled then. You must come to visit me every weekend.”
“Sure, Grandma. I will bring the pastries we just talked about,” Freya replied with a smile on her face.
Radley was left aside by Daniella. His eyes swept across the thick documents on the desk. It was
obvious. that Freya had been carrying out her work there earlier.
“Mr-Radley, please have a seat,” Freya said as she tried not to sound too distant in front of Daniella.
After sitting. Radley paid attention to the conversation between Freya and Daniella while keeping his
eyes on Freya.
What kind of magic does this woman possess?
In the past, he knew that his grandma had a liking for Freya, but he never imagined that after two bouts
of illness, she only wanted to see Freya. Are Hannah and I not as good as Freya in her eyes? We’re
her grandchildren!
It took Freya a while to calm down Daniella’s emotions by comforting her.
After that, she got up to see them off.

“Wait a minute. I’d like to speak with you.”
Daniella immediately called for Connor and said, “Let’s go back first. Let them talk.”
-After receiving a nod from Radley, Connor left with Daniella.
The office was quiet. Freya made a phone call to ask her secretary to bring in some tea.
Then, she looked at Radley and asked, “Mr. Monaghan, I want to ask you something. What kind of
caregiver did you hire? In case you didn’t know, Madam Daniella is not having some minor illness, but
she has Alzheimer’s! What happens if she wanders off again during an episode? Even a regular family
would take better care of an elderly person with this condition. And yet, despite your family’s wealth
and
resources, she’s been lost twice now. How could you let that happen?”
Radley’s face stiffened. “Danna was taking care of her. After I received your call, I hadn’t even had a
chance to ask about the situation.”
“Danna?!” Freya’s eyes widened in disgust. “Mr. Monaghan, do you really think Danna is capable of
taking care of a patient?”
Danna the angelic b*tch!
Freya gritted her teeth. She didn’t care if this foolish man was being deceived.
However, when it came to her beloved grandma, it was absolutely unacceptable!
“I suggest you go home and check your home surveillance. We’ve been divorced for quite some time
now, and your family has been keeping secrets from Grandma. How is it that she found out after being
taken care of by Danna?” she asked coldly.
A faint glimmer flickered in Radley’s eyes.
“Do you hate Danna?”
Freya shrugged nonchalantly, her slender fingers holding onto the teapot as she poured tea.
The boiling water swirled the tea leaves inside the teacup as she scoffed. “Not really. I wouldn’t say I
hate her. I just don’t think much of her.”
Danna, with her mind full of petty competition, wasn’t even worthy enough to be her rival.
Radley pursed his thin lips and swept his gaze across the office.
“I like the style of this office.”
The sudden change in topic made her glance over at him. “Yeah, it’s my brother’s office. I’m just here to
hold down the fort for a while.”
She knew that he was only bringing up the topic to divert attention away from Danna.
Freya felt more and more unhappy and was no longer polite to Radley. “Mr. Monaghan, I’ve said all I
need. to say. No matter how much you love and trust Danna, it’s better to hire some professional
caregivers for Madam Daniella.”
With that, she stood up and smiled. “I won’t keep you from having lunch, Mr. Monaghan.”
This was clearly a dismissal order and a polite offer to ask him to leave. However, Radley stood up
calmly, and his composed demeanor made Freya grind her teeth in frustration.
Although this se mbag was despicable, he had an air of sophistication and nobility from being raised in
a wealthy family. Given his handsome appearance, it was really hard to make direct insults to him.
“Thank you for your help today. I’ll have Connor prepare some gifts as a token of gratitude. I’ll take my
leave now.” He nodded to indicate his departure.
His attitude made her seem a bit petty.
Freya’s mouth twitched. When she was about to speak, her stomach suddenly churned.
She turned pale and covered her lips.
Seeing that, Radley frowned and asked, “What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?”

Freya was desperately trying to hold back nausea, afraid that she would vomit if she opened her
mouth.
She had a bit of a germaphobe tendency. As she gritted her teeth, fine sweat broke out on her
forehead. She turned around and headed toward the restroom in a hurry.
A faint light flashed in Radley’s mind, but he couldn’t quite grasp it. Seeing that, he hurriedly stepped

Bang!
The office door was forcefully pushed open, and both Radley and Freya turned their heads to look.
On top of a large bouquet of vibrant red roses, Matthew’s devilishly handsome face was beaming with
a smile. As he leaned against the door frame with his wild and wicked charm, he greeted, “Frey, I’m
here.”
At once, both Radley and Freya were left speechless.
The line in Radley’s mind was suddenly cut off. He didn’t probe further and simply stared at Freya with
a frown.
After their divorce, her taste had really gone downhill.
As he looked at the bouquet of bright red roses, a familiar feeling of frustration and suffocation surged
in his heart.
Then, he said coldly, “I won’t keep you any longer, Miss Kaufmann. I’ll take my leave.”
With an innocent look on his face, Matthew blinked his eyes. “Why is Mr. Monaghan here? Don’t we
have lunch together later?”
At this, Radley thought of Freya’s earlier remark and realized that it was because she had made plans
to eat with Matthew.
His eyes were as icy as if they were covered in frost. As he left, a cold wind seemed to emanate from
him, brushing past Matthew’s face.
Matthew looked at Radley’s departing figure and then turned to look inside the office with a puzzled
expression.
Freya’s nauseous feeling had subsided.
Her mouth twitched. “What are you up to?”
Matthew put on an innocent expression, but Freya wouldn’t be fooled by it as his image was already.
deeply ingrained in her mind.
Trying to act innocent was just another way for him to play his games.
Matthew responded with a question, “What’s wrong with Radley?”
Freya frowned and asked, “Is this your designated look today?”
