Chapter 236 We Can Give It a Try
Freya gently caressed her stomach and hesitated.
In silence, Radley stood by the side while clenching his hands tightly.
He felt like someone awaiting their judgment.
“To be honest, I’m a stubborn person. I’ve always had a high tolerance for betrayal,” said Freya.
At that moment, Radley’s heart sank. He knew that Freya was referring to what happened between him and Danna.
“But you have indeed saved me multiple times. I’ve told you that we have already ended. things between us.” She
looked at Radley.
“My mother and brother hate you.”
The light in Radley’s eyes dimmed at her words. “I understand.”
If someone had treated Hannah like how he had treated Freya, he would have killed that
person.
At that moment, a smile formed at the corner of Freya’s lips.
“But I don’t remember what happened during those two years. Hence, I think we can give it a try,” she said.
“Huh?” Radley was taken aback by her words.
“I meant that we could try to go on dates.” Freya thought for a moment. “But there are a few conditions you must
agree to.”
“Of course.” Radley’s voice was deep as he spoke.
“I haven’t even mentioned the conditions yet.”
Radley’s hand trembled slightly. After all, Freya had said so much, even mentioning Danna. At that moment, he
thought he had been sentenced to death.
However, he didn’t expect a turnaround to come so quickly. In that split second, his whole world seemed to have lit
up.
“I promise to agree to any condition.”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtInitially, Freya was nervous. However, she soon smiled when she heard his words.
“No one can know about us dating, especially my family.”
Does that mean we are secretly dating? Radley pursed his lips.
Seeing that he was silent, Freya continued, “If the both of us feel like things aren’t working out, we can call it off
anytime. At that moment, the other person can’t do anything about it.”
She had planned it out thoroughly. It was as if this was not a relationship but a business.
Radley smiled and said, “Okay. I agree.”
Freya was surprised. After all, from the perspective of negotiating a business, he wasn’t someone who would back
down easily.
She never thought that he would agree to the fact that their relationship would maintain a
secret.
Looking at Radley’s face, Freya had a moment of trance. In terms of appearance, she had never seen a man more
handsome than him in terms of appearance.
The moonlight shone on his face, making him look even more stunning.
Freya took a deep breath and said, “Also, don’t climb into my window again.”
“Is that a necessary condition?” asked Radley.
Freya pursed her lips and replied, “Not really, but it is impolite and dangerous for you to climb into my window!”
She might have shot Radley if she hadn’t heard his voice.
“Dangerous?” Radley caught on to the word. “Connor discovered another group of people. investigating you. Have
you figured out who they are yet?”
“No. That’s why it’s dangerous,” Freya muttered.
She didn’t tell Radley about The Compendium of Medical Wisdom. After all, it was too dangerous, and she didn’t
want another person getting involved in this.
“Leave it to me.” Radley’s gaze sharpened.
Freya smiled and said, “Don’t worry. I can handle it myself. Though, since you came back from Iternia overnight,
when do you plan on returning?”
Radley smiled. “Wilson invited me to play golf tomorrow afternoon. If we were to calculate
the time, I probably have to go back in another few hours.”
Freya frowned and said worriedly, “Then, you should hurry up and go back to get some rest.”
“Even if I return now, I probably won’t be able to sleep either.” Radley’s voice softened as he spoke.
He had been yearning for this moment, for Freya to agree to be with him.
Since his gaze was intense, Freya turned her head away because she felt slightly uncomfortable.
“If you’re tired, you should rest. I’ll leave after some time.”
“How am I supposed to sleep when you are here?” Freya gritted her teeth. “Tell me the route you took to come in
before you leave.”
She had always been in charge of the Kaufmann Residence’s security personnel and surveillance network. She
always thought everything was arranged properly, but she didn’t expect someone to climb in through the window in
the middle of the night!
Radley’s gaze softened. “Okay.”
Now that they had confirmed their relationship, Freya thought of something else as she faced him.
“Radley, what did you mean when you said in the video today that you would deal with Matthew?” she asked.
At the mention of Matthew, Radley’s expression turned cold.
“He almost hurt you today.”
“No. He stopped before Chris took action. It was just a misunderstanding.” Freya furrowed her eyebrows and looked
at him sternly. “Matthew is Braxton’s best friend and a long-time partner of the Kaufmann Group. Please leave him
alone.”
Radley’s gaze became dark.
Regardless of whether it was a misunderstanding today, Matthew’s confession of love to Freya was real.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmRadley was disgusted by the fact that Matthew had always been eyeing Freya, but Freya had just agreed to date
him.
Thus, he reluctantly took a step back. “I can spare him this time, but if he continues to bother you in the future-”
“He won’t. I’ve already made it clear to him today.” Freya raised her head proudly. “I am a person of principles.
Since I have agreed to date you, I won’t have any entanglements with him anymore. I hope you won’t have
anything against the Hoods either.”
Radley’s gaze softened. “Okay. I promise.”
Then, the room fell silent.
Freya and Radley were murmuring. Since they had just agreed to be with each other, Freya still felt uneasy. Thus,
she changed the subject and talked about the West Geft’s company
matters.
Radley sat by her side and looked at her softly, allowing her to change the subject as he answered her questions.
The two went from discussing West Geft to Wilson’s family affairs. Ever since Young Wilson’s death, Freya had been
worried about Amy’s condition.
As she learned from Radley that Amy’s mental state had recently improved, she felt relieved.
They chatted for who knows how long until Freya yawned.
Radley looked into her eyes deeply.
Freya sat on the sofa, leaning against the backrest.
Her long, black hair cascaded down, shimmering like silk under the moonlight.
Her usually clear and sharp-witted eyes were half-closed. She looked like a tired kitten.
Looking at her, Radley felt his heart skip a beat.
He could never get enough of looking at her. How nice would it be if he could keep looking at her like this forever?
However, Radley’s gaze shifted to Freya’s stomach.
“You’re tired. Go and get some rest,” he said.
Freya rubbed her eyes and asked, “Are you leaving?”
Radley smiled faintly. “Yes.”
He wanted to stay, but he knew Freya wouldn’t be able to sleep if he stayed.
