Chapter 188 He’s in a Good Mood
Radley, who was outside the office, had a smile in his eyes.
Following tradition, Freya paid respects to her ancestors and her master before she served tea.
Brandon also gave her a name in the industry. After thinking for a while, he smiled and announced, “Let’s call you
Anonna.”
Freya stopped acting solemn now that she was done with the ceremony. Hearing his words, she couldn’t help but
ponder with her eyebrows knitted together. “Anonna? Sounds pretty rustic.”
“Anonna is the goddess of the harvest. Sounds good to have a bountiful harvest every year, no?” Brandon chuckled.
“In a formal ceremony, you should vow three times and your master’s wife should be present. But we won’t follow
those customs now. This is already good enough.”
Now that Brandon had accepted the most suitable disciple he could ask for, the smile in his eyes couldn’t be hidden.
He couldn’t help but act like a master again.
Freya thought for a moment and promised, “Alright, since you are my master, I will take care of you and Mrs. Lane
in your old age.
Brandon’s expression relaxed with a smile.
He suddenly felt that settling down in Caltun was not a bad idea. Now that he had an apprentice, it was like having a
child.
With Radley by his side, their life in old age wouldn’t be too bad.
After chatting for a while, Freya hugged the thick book like it was her treasure.
Only then did Radley come forward and knock on the door.
Hearing that, Brandon glanced at the door and said, “Come in. This punk has been standing at the door for a while
and secretly watching my apprentice.
www
Brandon was initially happy to see his apprentice succeed. But now that Freya had become his apprentice, he
started to scrutinize Radley with an ambivalent attitude.
He is a pretty decent match for my apprentice.
Radley looked at Freya and reminded her, “Working hours are over. It’s time to go to Nightshade Club.”
Freya thought for a moment and put the book in the drawer.

“Master, I have to attend a gathering. There might be people drinking there, so I’ll leave this book with you – so that
it doesn’t smell like smoke and alcohol.”
She looked like she treasured the book.
The corners of Radley’s lips curled up slightly. “No one will be smoking or drinking today.”
“Aren’t we going to Nightshade Club?” From what she knew, Chris‘ territory was a place for drinking and gatherings.
Freya proceeded to follow Radley out of the Joint Department.
Connor then drove them to the club.
The gathering was on the first floor of the club where there was a large private room specifically for big gatherings.
As soon as Freya went in, she fell silent.
Two long tables had been set up like it was a buffet in the spacious room.
There were also some tables and chairs, as well as a dance floor, in the middle. It looked like a banquet hall with a
few rows of tables.
“How did you get Chris to agree to us having a gathering here?” Freya whispered.
Radley had a hint of humor in his eyes. “He’s probably extremely grateful that I brought him back from Vroria.
By now, most of the people from the Joint Department had arrived. They were all quite happy to see what was
prepared for them.
However, there was a sign with big characters on the wall nearby. ‘No Smoking, No Drinking!”
The ban on smoking was understandable, but banning alcohol?
Someone cautiously tried to take a sip from a glass that looked like champagne.
And yet… Sweet iced tea?!
Soon, everyone realized that the tall glasses were filled with various beverages.
Those who loved alcohol started to feel a little anxious.
“I thought we could have a good time drinking today. It would be nice to relax with drinks after working so hard.”
“You should drink less. You were almost late the last time you had one too many.”
Murmurs filled the room.
Noticing this, Freya laughed. “Why ban smoking? Is it because of me? I might as well not attend then. How can we
have a good time at such a big gathering if everyone can’t enjoy themselves?”
Whether it was the desserts or the buffet dishes, they were all prepared by professional chefs using carefully
selected ingredients.
With how valuable each dish was, it made those who loved alcohol even more regretful that there were no alcoholic
drinks.
“Don’t worry.” Radley smiled. “They will cheer up soon enough.”
Freya didn’t understand what he meant, but she followed him to sit down at a nearby table for two.
Even though the table was in a hidden corner, it had a perfect view of the podium not far away.
It wasn’t long before someone went up on stage.
Freya’s eyes widened when she saw that person. “Who is that?” she asked.
The man donning a suit had a smile on his face. “Hello everyone. I am your host tonight.”

The people munching on snacks grew excited as they cheered, “They even have a program planned!”
The host briefly introduced how there were no other items on the agenda except for a lucky draw session.
Since the employees of the West Geft Joint Department had been working hard recently, Radley didn’t plan on only
treating them to a meal,
The first prize was a car, followed by numerous second prizes. Even the worst third prize was worth tens of
thousands of dollars.
Freya exclaimed, “How generous of you, Mr. Monaghan. It seems like I’m being stingy by just treating everyone to a
meal.”
Radley wore a small smile. “I can have Connor give you the bill. All you have to do is say that it’s a grand treat from
the Kaufmann Group.”
Freya politely smiled. “That won’t be necessary.”
Material rewards made people happier than alcohol did.
That was especially so when the prizes were substantial and plentiful.
After several rounds of the lucky draw, almost everyone had one or two small boxes in front of them.
The person who won the car took the car keys with a joyful expression on his face.
He stood on the stage and declared, “I will live and die for the Joint Department! I will give my all until the
end!”
The atmosphere in the audience was already lively.
Freya recognized him as a steady employee of the Kaufmann Group.

“Are you trying to poach the employees from the Kaufmann Group?” Freya asked, suspicious.
“The Monaghan Group is not currently in such dire need of staff, Radley replied calmly.
“Then why are you doing this?”
Even if it was a lucky draw, this was too extravagant.
Radley looked at Freya with a profound gaze, his thin lips slightly curled. He then rasped suggestively, “I’ve just
been in a good mood lately.”
“Okay,” Freya uttered upon hearing that.
She didn’t need to worry about Radley’s affairs, but she had a nagging feeling that his statement about being in a
good mood had a hint of ambiguity.

After the party, the employees of West Geft’s Joint Department left, laughing and smiling as if they were drunk.
“Let’s work overtime tomorrow!” someone shouted.
“Overtime!” others echoed.
Freya fell silent at that.
“I’ll drive you home. Radley had already considerately opened the car door.
His mood only got better when he saw Freya get into the car without missing a beat..
When Radley sent Freya back to Kaufmann Residence, he looked at her belly and couldn’t help but worry. “Please
be careful during this period.”
Freya caressed her stomach and smiled. “Thank you for your concern.”
Not long after she arrived home, she received a call from Daniella.
“Madam Daniella.” Freya looked at the time. “It’s already 10 p.m. Why haven’t you rested yet?”
“Do you have any idea how long it has been since you last visited me?!” Daniella sounded like a child complaining.
“Yes, yes, Madam Daniella. I will come to see you tomorrow.”
Finally satisfied, Daniella muttered, “Come earlier tomorrow. I’ll have someone make your favorite fish dish for
you.”
“Alright, Madam Daniella,” Freya agreed with a smile.
After washing up, she lay in bed and looked at her schedule.
She would visit Daniella tomorrow. As for her brother’s medical plan, she still needed a few test results before she
could come up with something.
Freya then glanced at her text messages and softly sighed. Isabella still hadn’t replied to her messages.
