Chapter 135 The Society Is Pervertible
Freya placed her phone on the table and turned it to face Darrell.
Several one-minute voice messages were displayed on the screen.

Freya had pressed the voice record button as soon as she sensed something was off about Darrell’s words.
She wanted Edward to know what his friend was actually like.
Darrell’s face suddenly changed when he saw the voice recordings.
She pointed to Edward’s contact name-Little Brother.
“See?”
“Miss Kaufmann, I think you might have misunderstood something.” His face turned pale, and his voice was tinged
with panic.
What if these conversations were exposed by Edward? His carefully curated image at university would be ruined!
Everyone would know that he went for wool and came back shorn.
Freya sneered. “I don’t think I misunderstood anything. It’s just that Evergreen University has always been
excellent, and I didn’t know when its students started offering themselves as gigolos. You’re young; is it appropriate
to take this path?”
Her voice was cold. “Forget about all this mess and focus on your studies. Get out of here and don’t bother. me
anymore!”
With a pale face, Darrell glanced at the several girls who were looking over in their direction. The phone on the
table rang lightly, and it was a voice message from Edward.
He stood up and gritted his teeth. “Sorry for disturbing you!”
He got up and left. Meanwhile, Freya pressed the play button, and Edward’s low voice sounded. “Frea, where are

She looked at Darrell’s figure and replied, “Edward, you should be more discerning when making friends in the
future. Don’t make friends with just anyone. Consider this a lesson in how evil society can be.”
Evil society?
Darrell clenched his fists as he felt that he had been careless today. He returned to his friends, and several girls
immediately approached him.
“Darrell, how was your conversation with Miss Kaufmann?”
His voice was cold. “Not good”
It was a slap to his face when he thought about Freya’s behavior just now!
He didn’t mention the sibling relationship but deliberately said something that could be taken the wrong
way.
The girls whispered in shock, and Darrell continued, “But don’t spread this around. For your own safety, pretend
you don’t know.”
The girls were immediately frightened. “What? Did Miss Kaufmann threaten you?”
He put down his glass of red wine and looked angry. “I thought it might just be rumors, or even if it weren’t rumors,
they might be in love. I didn’t expect Miss Kaufmann to want me to-
He looked embarrassed, and immediately a girl exclaimed in surprise as her thought process diverged.
“Miss Kaufmann isn’t interested in you, is she?” Darrell’s face suddenly tightened and his voice became cold. “I
would rather die than be humiliated. Ultimately, a man must rely on himself. I am not the kind of person who can
be swayed by money!”
The girl who spoke had already been secretly in love with him for a long time. Her family was also involved in a
large business, so she could be considered a wealthy heiress.
After hearing this, the girl became even more enamored with Darrell, while feeling disgusted with Freya at the
same time.
“Darrell, this is just a small matter between wealthy families. Don’t be angry. But not everyone is like this!”
Darrell’s face relaxed slightly. “I know, Kaylee.”
On the sofa, Freya was always sharp and soon noticed several unfriendly glances directed toward her.
She looked up and saw a group of girls not far away. Some were looking at her with disdainful looks and some with
anger in their eyes.
She raised her eyebrows, guessing that Darrell must have said something to them.
But she didn’t care about it at all; she wouldn’t put too much weight on other people’s opinions. If she did, she
wouldn’t have been able to survive being tricked so many times by Danna before.
She continued chatting with Edward absentmindedly.
Cheers erupted around the center stage, and Freya looked up to see the birthday girl, Hannah, appear. She had a
cute and happy smile on her face, and Radley stood by her side with a protective stance. Melissa was also by her
side, and the two were talking about something.
Freya smiled. Hannah might be proud, but she had a good heart, as shown in her previous incident where she got
into a fight at school.
It was good that Melissa could make friends with someone who shared her temperament, so she wouldn’t be lonely
in Caltun.
With so many people attending her birthday banquet, Hannah naturally had to give an appreciation. speech.
However, she delivered the speech hesitantly and awkwardly. It clearly indicated that she had memorized it in
advance as it lacked sincerity.
Freya chuckled and thought that Hannah was quite cute.

It was Isabella who ran over with the hem of her dress in hand.
“Ive been looking for you for a long time. I was just about to call you.”
Isabella was here, and Freya wasn’t bored anymore. They sat together on the sofa and chatted. Isabella kept
mentioning Braxton, and because of her anger, she muttered under her breath. “Your brother is a j*rk! After he
heard that I was going out with Chris, he dragged me to Caltun from Vronia. I thought he was jealous! But after he
brought me back to Caltun, he stopped answering my calls and treated me like I’m invisible. I don’t understand
what does he want?”
Isabella was so angry she could crush the red wine glass in her hand.
Freya looked at her annoyed expression and comforted her. “Braxton still cares about you. Otherwise, he wouldn’t
have brought you back. He’s jealous.”
“He’s jealous, but he seems to have a serious illness!” Isabella gnashed her teeth in anger. “If your brother
continues like this, I won’t talk to him anymore. After all, I’m the young lady of the Parkers. It’s easy for me to find a
boyfriend!”
Although she said that, her face still showed her true feelings. She was full of indignation.
Freya was helpless. She had promised her brother not to reveal his secret to Isabella. She could only silently assist
the two of them in their relationship.
After a while, Matthew finally slipped away from his friends and walked over.
“Oh. Miss Parker is here,” he joked.
Isabel was angry and resentful, and when she saw Braxton’s close friend, Matthew, she couldn’t help but feel that
he was also a jerk. She snorted and ignored him.
Matthew didn’t mind. He sat down on the sofa and smiled. “What’s wrong? Who offended you, Miss Parker? Was it
Braxton?”
“Don’t mention his name!”
He chuckled lightly. As a good friend of Braxton’s, he was well aware of the love-hate relationship between the two.
