Chapter 1601 Why Are You Back So Late?
Estelle washed her face and saw only Lucian and Nox in the living room. She was in a puzzle.
"Has Grandma left?"
Lucian and Nox snapped out of their daze. They suppressed their sadness but could not hide it all. They nodded
slowly, answering Estelle’s question.
Looking at her brothers' expressions, Estelle approached them seriously." Did Grandma say something to you guys
again?"
She could see that her brothers seemed a little upset.
Lucian smiled at Estelle, trying to appease her. "Nothing much. She asked us to take good care of you."
Then, he diverted the topic casually. "It’s already so late. Why aren't Daddy and Mommy back yet?"

When Mrs. Zora had prepared dinner, she saw that the kids seemed listless unlike how they were usually. They sat
on the sofa gloomily as they stared at the door.
"Young Masters, Little Lady, dinner is ready. Are you guys hungry? Do you want to have some first?"
Mrs. Zora could see the little ones in a bad mood and tried to coax them.
The kids shook their heads in unison.
Lucian said, "We aren't hungry. We’ll wait for Daddy and Mommy to have dinner together later."
Mrs. Zora knew she could not change the kids' minds and stopped persuading them. She could only wait with them
and pray that Master and Mrs. Lawrence would return soon.
Only at seven in the evening did they hear noises coming from outside.
Mrs. Zora glanced at the little ones.
They seemed to have heard the noises and strode to the door.
Outside the manor, Byron got out of the car and opened the front passenger’s seat.
Rosalie got off the car.
They kissed naturally, but it was a light kiss.
When they turned around and headed to the door, Rosalie saw the three kids and froze.
Even though it was not the first time her children saw them kissing, she still felt embarrassed.
Rosalie glanced at Byron, blaming him for kissing her.
Byron smiled innocently at her and said, "I didn't notice them either..."
Usually, the kids would wait for them in the house. Never did they expect the kids to be outside today.
"Why are you three welcoming us home so eagerly today?"
Byron knew Rosalie felt shy and walked before her, blocking the triplets from staring at her.

Estelle and Nox did not know what excuse to come up with and looked at Lucian.
Lucian could only speak on their behalf as the big brother, "Daddy, why are you and Mommy back so late today?
We've waited for so long."
Byron did not think much and touched the little ones' heads. "We’ve been busy at work these two days, and we
finally had some time to bring you out."
Speaking about going out reminded them of what happened that afternoon, and they were not in the mood.
However, they forced themselves to look happy.
Byron noticed something was wrong with the kids, and he frowned. "What's wrong? Why do you guys seem
unhappy about going out? Do you feel unwell?"
Rosalie also noticed their strange reaction and stood beside them with concern.
The little ones looked at each other and pondered how to answer Byron's questions.
