Chapter 462
Watching the intense match, Joshna knew it was the right time and told Yorl not to follow
him as he approached Cynthia,
Seeing him walking over, Jimmy muttered, “Cynthia, your ex-husband is here!”
“You don’t have to keep saying he’s my ex-husband. He’s only half a stranger to me,”
Cynthia replied calmly,
Right now, she was only concerned about one thing.
She hoped Mitchell could hold on a bit longer so she would not have to go on the court.
Just as Cynthia was thinking this, Joshua arrived by her side. Matthew, who witnessed the
scene, felt a surge of emotions running through him, and he hit the ball harder than
before.
Mitchell, who received the ball, looked at Cynthia’s direction out of instinct and instantly

“Cynthia,” Joshua called out to her.
Cynthia glanced at him, but there was no hostility in her gaze. “What’s the matter?”
“Well…” Joshua was no longer as cold, but his gaze became extremely complex. “I want to

Upon hearing these words, Cynthia shifted her attention toward him. Joshua had not seen
such undivided attention directed at him alone for a very long time.
“Did he contact you?” Cynthia asked.
Joshua remained silent
No, he had not.
However, Joshua really wanted to spend some time alone with Cynthia and found another
reason to approach her.
“No, but I want to discuss it with you in detail so we can be prepared.”
“There’s no need to discuss it now. Let’s wait until Jayleen makes contact on her end,”
Cynthia replied calmly
Just at that moment, her phone rang
It was Jayleen.
Cynthia glanced at the phone and the court before answering the call.
“Hello.”
“He called me.” Jayleen’s voice trembled with fear.
“What did he say?” Cynthia asked.
“He asked about the progress of your relationship, and I told him what you instructed me
to say,” Jayleen whispered.
“And then?”
“H-He’s being doubtful about it,” Jayleen stammered,
Upon hearing this, Cynthia frowned. Then, she said, “Send me the recording of your
conversation.”
“I can’t.” Jayleen was on the verge of tears.
Cynthia was puzzled.
Before she could ask, Jayleen added, “My phone went black shortly after reconding the
conversation. No matter how I tried to restart it, it wouldn’t work I just took out the SIM
card and bought a new phone to call you.”
A sense of unease washed over Cynthia.

She could not afford to delay.
“What’s wrong?” Joshua had never seen Cynthia with such a serious expression.
“Can I use Yoel’s laptop?” Cynthia was visibly nervous, her heart pounding.
“Follow me,” Joshua replied.
Cynthia glanced at Matthew and Mitchell, briefly informing Jimmy that she had something
