Married to the Boss: A Love in Disguise Chapter 41

It took Lumma a lot of effort to persuade Harry and Ruby to permit her to leave the hospital tonight. Now she just

got in the car home.

Ruby was still nagging, “Silly girl. You didn’t get any wounds, but what if you have other injuries? I’ve already

brought some dally necessities to the ward, but you still

refuse to stay there.”

Lumma pinched Ruby’s face and said, “Why should I stay in the hospital? I’m fine, The ward is not as comfortable

as home. I have been out for a month and a half, and 1 couldn’t sleep well every night. I miss my bed so much.”

Harry held the steering wheel with both hands and sald with lingering fear, “You were just lucky. It’s too close. You

almost died.”

After dinner, Harry went to the parking lot, and Ruby went to the bathroom. When Lumma was waiting for them at

the door of the restaurant, a car rushed toward her.

Fortunately, Lumma reacted quickly enough at that time. She hid behind the tree and avoided the car. However,

she still fell, and her elbow was grazed.

The car hit the tree. It was crushed, and the driver got seriously injured. Fortunately, the

ambulance came in time and saved the driver.

Their conversation was interrupted by the ringtone. Lumma checked her phone and saw the message from Simon.

Lumma read the message and couldn’t believe that Adam’s wife had cheated on Adam.

But on second thought, she found it was possible.

Adam used to be very gentle every time he mentioned his wife, but now, he didn’t even

allow anyone to mention her.

Lumma sighed and said, “Harry, when we pass by the Kells Bar, stop the car there. I

have to go.”

Ruby asked, “What are you going to do? Are you going to be your mean boss’s driver again?”

Lumma smiled, “I’m his personal assistant. I have to do my job.”

“We will get the money for the copyright soon. You are no longer short of money. Can’t you resign?” Harry wanted

to persuade Lumma, but they both knew Lumma well. The job brought Lumma a sense of security.

As Lumma’s best friends, they would support Lumma no matter what decision she made. “We will go with you. After

you drive him back, we will pick you up and go home together.”

“This is my job. I can’t ask you to go with me every time.” Lumma said to her two friends and comforted them.

“Don’t worry. I’m fine.”

They didn’t want Lumma to have too much pressure, so they didn’t insist on going with her. They drove her to the

Kells Bar, watched her enter, and drove away.

Lumma found the private room where Adam was.

When Simon saw Lumma, he wore a bright smile on his face. He opened his arms and wanted to give Lumma a

hug. “Ms. Louis, long time no see. I miss you so much.”

“Mr. Mills, hello.” Lumma dodged Simon’s hug and looked around. Simon was the only one in the room. “You lied to

me?”

“No, definitely not.” Simon pointed at the balcony.

Lumma looked up and found that Adam was talking to someone on the phone. She didn’t see Adam because the

light on the balcony was off.

Simon said, “Ms. Louis, now you have a great opportunity.”

Lumma raised her eyebrows, “Mr. Mills, what do you mean?”

Simon got close to Lumma and said mysteriously, “Everyone in the circle knows about the affair of your boss’s wife

with another man. Now a lot of women want to be the new Mrs. Hills, but they can’t even see him. But you are

different. You stay with him every

day. This is your opportunity.”

Lumma didn’t understand why Simon was always thinking about such things. “Mr. Mills, you’d better shut up.”

Simon didn’t believe that there was still a woman who could turn a blind eye to Adam’s charm. “Adam is rich,

handsome, and sexy. He is a good man and never flirts with any women. Don’t you want to marry him?”

“No.

Not at all.” Lumma answered firmly, “Mr. Mills, if you don’t want me to lose my job, please never say these words

again.”

As soon as Lumma finished speaking, the balcony door opened, and Adam came in.

His hair, which was usually meticulously combed, was a little messy now. There were still water drops on his face as

if he had just washed his face. His eyes were a little hazy. It seemed that he was really drunk.
