Ava looked at the man, and for some reason, she felt a familiar feeling when she looked at him. The man seemed
to be stunned when he saw Ava. However, he quickly looked away and walked toward Tom.
“Tom, it's really you. Why are you here?”
“Dr. Long, long time no see. I’m here because I sent a friend here. What about you? When did you return to
Glendale?” Tom asked with a smile. Upon hearing the words, the man glanced at Ava meaningfully. “Friend? Don’t
you mean girlfriend? You sure have a good eye, Tom.”
“Dr. Long, you’ve misunderstood. She’s really not my girlfriend,” Tom explained seriously. Then, he lowered his eyes
and glanced at the time. “I need to take care of some things, so I need to head off. Let me treat you to a meal ina
few days, Doctor. We'll keep in touch.”
The man nodded. “Yes, let’s.”
Tom did not say anything else and quickly drove away.

People were walking back and forth along the road, but Ava felt a little awkward for some reason.

Seeing that the elevator was arriving on their floor, Ava deliberately took out her phone and started playing with it.
She wanted the man to step out of the elevator first.
