When Bill saw that it was his superior, he was so scared he started breaking out in a cold sweat.
“M-Mr. Lowe, you’re here,” he greeted timidly.
Tom walked over and lowered his head to look at Maisie, who looked very aggressive.
“What happened? Why are you so mad?”
Maisie was fuming as she glared at Bill who could not even form his words properly. “Ask him!”
Tom looked at Bill sharply after he heard that. “Answer me.”
When Bill heard this, he was even more terrified.
The rest of the people in the office raised their widened eyes to look in their direction. Plus, they could tell that
there was something unusual going on between Tom and Maisie judging from how gentle and patient he was with

When they saw this, Fiona and Kendra were even more excited. “Did you see that? What’s being said on the
internet is real! Ava, do you believe us now?”
“But Ava, which one of your friends is so powerful to have the power to remove a trending tweet?”
As they were asking Ava, Bill stammered out his answer, “Mr. Lowe, I think Maisie is mad about the news online…”
“What news online?” Tom asked coolly.
Bill did not dare to tell him directly, so he opened his tablet and found the page before handing it to Tom
respectfully.
“See for yourself, Mr. Lowe.”
Tom furrowed his thick eyebrows and reached out to take the tablet.
Maisie also took a look after she moved closer to Tom. When she saw the contents, she clenched her fists in anger
as she started cursing.
“This has Laura Pine written all over it!” Maisie’s anger intensified immediately. “I’ll find her!”
After Maisie finished saying that, she turned around angrily. Even Tom could not stop her.
On the other hand, Ava rushed over to Maisie. “Maisie, where are you going?”
“I want to go catch that shameless woman!” Maisie murmured without turning her head.
When Tom heard that, he returned the tablet to Bill and warned coldly, “I know you’re still in contact with Laura. Tell
her I’ll get to the bottom of this.”
“Um… Mr. Lowe, Laura and …” Bill was trying to have nothing to do with Laura but Tom did not listen to him. He
turned around and left.
When the other colleagues saw Tom barging out, they ran back to their seats and pretended to focus on their work.
After that, Ava walked in through the door with a look of worry.

have to chase after her. Maisie will be fine. Just focus on your work, okay?”
Ava was still worried as she did not know whether Maisie would do something stupid. She only came back to her
senses when she heard Tom’s voice.
Even though she figured Maisie was not in an improper relationship with Tom, Ava still felt that they had a special
relationship judging from what Tom said and his actions.
Also, since Tom had promised her, Ava stopped feeling so worried.
After about an hour, Maisie came back with a look of disappointment.
Everyone’s eyes fell on Maisie. They wanted to know what she did after she ran out, but only Ava went over to ask
her.
