“Even though I had been shot back then and I was very unwell, I still remember how worried you were for me.“
A wave of emotion flashed across Shirley’s calm face.
Carter was pleased when he saw the change in Shirley’s expression. “I didn’t really pass out back then. After
weighing the pros and cons, I just thought that it’ll be better for them to send me to the hospital.“
