After everything that happened earlier tonight, coupled with the unfamiliar and yet beautiful emotions | had been experiencing ever since we got here, | knew that I couldn't hold back on how | felt any longer.

| watched her closely, a knot of anxiety coiling in the pit of my stomach as | waited for her response. Amber's silence stretched between us, leavingfeeling exposed and raw. | saw the turmoil reflected in her eyes and several unreadable emotions flickering in her eyes as she processed my words.

For a moment, | held my breath, the tension in the room growing palpable as the seconds ticked by.

She remained still, her gaze locked with mine, and | felt a surge of uncertainty wash over me. Had | misjudged the depth of her feelings? Was it too soon forto bring this up to her, and was my confession met with indifference or, worse, rejection? The thought sent a pang of unease througha fear gnawing at the edges of my resolve.

| couldn’t help but notice the sheen of tears that glistened in her eyes, an obvious sign of the emotions that swirled in her. My heart clenched at the sight, a wave of protectiveness washing overas I tried not to let doubt cloud my thoughts.

| had braced myself for the possibility that Amber might not reciprocate my feelings in as much depth, but the fear of rejection still pierced throughlike a sharp blade.

“Amber...” | began, “I... | didn’t mean to spring this on you so suddenly. | understand if you need tto process everything. Just know that... that | meant every word | said.” Ad skipped Her gaze softened, a flicker of he finally spoke. “Richard, I.. | don’t know what to say. This is all just so sudden, and... and unexpected.” 15:46 Mon, 4 Mar B G G 00:36%0 Chapter Ninety Two.

Up to 30% I nodded, my heart pounding in my chest as | braced myself for her next words. “I know. | didn’t mean to overwhelm you. | just needed to be honest with you, to tell you how I truly feel,” | confessed.

She sighed, and she seemed to be in her thoughts, which madefeel concerned for her. | didn’t want her to think she was under any pressure to reciprocate my feelings, and | was ready to completely understand if she wasn’t in love with me.

“I need you to know that I didn’t tell you how I felt to put any pressure on you,” | said. “I don’t expect you to feel the sway | do, and | don’t want you to feel like you have to reciprocate my feelings. | just needed to be honest with you, to let you know how much you mean to me, but it’s not to make you uncomfortable.” Amber's eyes met mine. There was a flicker of understanding in her gaze, and it started to feel like a weight was lifted from my shoulders when her responses remained kind and warm.

Before | could say anything more, | watched as her expression shifted, a sudden wave of emotion washing over her. Tears welled up in her eyes, her composure faltering as she looked up atwith a mix of vulnerability and uncertainty.

Without a moment's hesitation, | rose from my seat and moved to sit beside her, my heart aching at the sight of her tears.

| reached out, gently wiping away the tears that streaked down her cheeks. My touch was light and reassuring.

“Amber, it's okay. Please don’t cry,” | murmured, my voice filled with a mix of calmness and concern. “I meant what | said earlier. | want you to take all the tyou need to process everything. You don’t have to feel bad about how you feel.” Amber's sobs subsided slightly, her gaze meeting mine as she spoke, her voice tinged with a hint of emotion.

“Richard, I... I've never had anyone confess their feelings forso directly before. It's just... it’s caughtoff guard, and I'm not sure how to respond.” She paused, a tremor in her voice as she continued, “I never expected you to be so honest with me, and it’s makingemotional because... because | don’t know for sure what it is | feel at the moment.” | listened intently to her words.

“Richard, I... | care about you more than I’ve cared about anyone in a long time,” Amber began. “But... I'm not sure if | can say that I'm in love with you. It’s all just so sudden, and you makefeel things that | never expected to feel again, especially not so soon. | need to take my tbecause | don’t want to fall in and out of love again, Richard. | really don’t.” I nodded slowly, a smile tugging at the corners of my lips as | reached out to take her hand in mine. ” Amber, it’s okay. | understand,” | reassured her. “Take all the tyou need to figure out your feelings. I'll be here waiting for you, whenever you're ready.

Before she could respond, | leaned in, placing a tender kiss on her lips, a silent reassurance of my feelings, and a willingness to accept whatever she felt at the moment. Amber deepened the kiss, her passion and longing mirroring my own.

After we finally managed to pull away, breathless, | couldn't help but smile at Amber, loving the sense of peace and security being with her always brought me. “By the way, this is still our honeymoon, babe, and we're going to enjoy it till the end. Prepare to tick off half your bucket list for the next few days,” | said.

Amber chuckled. “I can’t wait.” And with that, she leaned in once again, her lips meeting mine with a fervor that matched my own.
