Chapter 427 Vanish

Yeverie could feel Jonathan's burning body temperature. While she felt embarrassed, she understood that he had

saved her. She was aware of how terrible her situation was yesterday. Then, when she recalled the sensation of

fresh, warm blood while her consciousness faded in and out, she was taken aback. Did His Majesty use his own

blood to save me? It must've been it.

Gradually, Yeverie's mind began to awaken as she figured out her current situation.

Soon, she felt the wind and snow blowing in from the outside.

Even without stepping out of the entrance, she could imagine how frigid the weather was. However, she didn't feel

cold because Jonathan had been taking care of her.

Yeverie couldn't help but glance at the ground and spotted a puddle on the floor.

When she saw Jonathan sitting in the freezing water, she was astonished.

“Oh, my god!” exclaimed Yeverie.

Her eyes instantly reddened. Initially, she was still feeling embarrassed for having such an intimate moment with

Jonathan. However, the moment she witnessed that scene, she truly understood how much Jonathan had sacrificed

for her.

Jonathan was roused by Yeverie's exclamation and noticed she had gotten better. A sigh of relief escaped his lips

before he asked, “You're awake?”

With teary eyes, Yeverie replied, “Please, let me down, Your Majesty. You can't sit in the water any longer.”

As she ended her sentence, she struggled to leave Jonathan's embrace.

Nodding, he released her.

The moment Yeverie landed on the ground, her shoes were soaked.

She couldn't help but shudder as a bone-chilling cold pervaded her body.

Also, she was wearing a pair of sneakers as well.

They were a favorite of spiritual fighters because they were light and quiet.

Leahra did not mention that the place was frigid when the group traveled through dimensional spaces.

Hence, Yeverie had been wearing a bright yellow robe since the beginning. Hence, she didn't feel too awkward in it.

After Jonathan put on a white shirt, he shifted his sight away.

Upon putting on her clothes, Yeverie handed the robe she took off to Jonathan.

Jonathan smiled. “It's cold here, and your injury has just healed. You should wear it.”

“Your Majesty—”

“It doesn't matter if I'm a king or not here. You're a woman, I'm a man, and a man should protect a woman,

especially one as beautiful as you. Understand?”

Blushing, Yeverie blinked. “Am I a really beautiful woman, Your Majesty?”

Jonathan was stunned for a moment before he chuckled. “If you aren't considered attractive, then I don't think

there are any attractive women in the world.”

In an instant, Yeverie's countenance turned as red as a tomato.

What a bashful gal.

“Where are we, Your Majesty?” asked Yeverie.

That question stumped Jonathan. “I'm not entirely sure. Back then, we entered the fog vortex Leahra created,

which was clearly an entrance that allowed dimensional spaces traversal. We've either landed on the other side of

the planet or inside the dimensional spaces. In any case, she's skilled at using this technique. In the past, she used

Disc of Fate to send Wretched away.”

Yeverie was somewhat familiar with Wretched, so she nodded.

Smiling bitterly, Jonathan continued, “We can still return home if we've merely been sent to the other side of the

planet. However, if we're in dimensional spaces instead, then I've no clue how we can return. That'll be an issue.”

Yeverie's mind could not come up with any solution when she heard that. This problem will be challenging to

overcome!

However, Jonathan was optimistic about the situation. “I'm actually quite curious about what this place is. Besides,

we don't need to worry too much. I believe there's a reason for Leahra's arrangement. Perhaps there's something

amazing here, which is why she sent us to this location.”

Yeverie nodded before asking with worry, “I wonder how the others are doing.”

“Maybe they've landed at a spot better than ours instead of enduring the cold like us.”

“That must be it.” Yeverie was kind.

There were mountains outside, and the north wind was howling.

During the seemingly endless night, the snow had perpetually covered everything in view.

With no other choice, Jonathan and Yeverie had to wait for sunrise.

The snow beneath their feet had melted, so they felt very uncomfortable sitting down.

Eventually, they opted to squat in the cave inside.

The cold that engulfed their feet was really unbearable to both of them.

Abruptly, Yeverie apologized, “I'm sorry, Your Majesty. You're suffering now because we didn't protect you well

enough.”

Jonathan was taken aback a little before he grinned. “What are you saying? I don't blame any of you. Besides, this

amount of discomfort doesn't bother me. On the other hand, you've never experienced this torment before in

Eastsummer, yet you fell here with me.”

Shaking her head, Yeverie asserted, “I'm fine.”

Jonathan smiled.

Eventually, the sun rose, drawing their stay in the cave to a close.

During the morning, the gust and snow stopped.

Jonathan and Yeverie sighed in relief.

Promptly, both of them left the cave.

When they stepped onto the snow, they felt much warmer.

They were skilled enough to use their vitality to dry their wet feet rapidly.

Although, that wasn't the issue.

The biggest issue, in Jonathan's opinion, was that there was no sun or any points of reference he could use to

determine the cardinal direction.

Instead of overthinking it, he randomly pointed in a direction. “Let's head there and see if we can find any signs of

people.”

Yeverie nodded.

They sped through the path as much as they could since it wasn't snowing.

After traversing for three hours, they started to feel hungry.

Unfortunately, no food was stored in Jonathan's spatial ring. He started cursing inwardly. Once I've returned to

Eastsummer, I'm definitely stocking more food inside. Goodness, what kind of terrible place is this? Not only do we

not see anyone else, but there's also no sign of animals either.

During the afternoon, the snowstorm returned.

Jonathan and Yeverie swiftly noticed the drop in temperature. It was biting cold.

Thankfully, both Jonathan's and Yeverie's cultivation stages were above Divine Master. Their bodies could

automatically regulate their internal temperature according to the temperature in the environment.

Gradually, after experiencing a day of snowstorms, they weren't that fearful of the cold anymore.

That was the benefit of reaching a high enough cultivation stage.

Unable to bear the hunger any longer, Jonathan took out two frozen blood bags from his spatial ring. Both he and

Yeverie drank a bag each.

They felt much more comfortable afterward.

However, they still needed to either locate some humans or find a place to spend the night.

Furthermore, Jonathan discovered daytime was shorter than nighttime there.

When darkness enveloped the land again, the snowy squall grew more intense, so much so that they couldn't even

open their eyes.

Jonathan and Yeverie failed to find a place to stay in time.

Suddenly, an idea popped into Jonathan's mind. He guided Yeverie to a spot below a cliff and piled up the snow to

form a temporary shelter. Then, they dove into the snow.

When they did, they felt as if they had arrived on a warm, homely bed.

They could sleep in the snow because after their bodies modified themselves during the day, their external

temperature dropped below the freezing point.

The theory of evolution stated that living beings would regulate their bodies and evolve according to environmental

conditions.

Jonathan's and Yeverie's physical bodies had become extremely powerful. Thus, they were able to evolve in a single

day.

They didn't hug each other while sleeping together because Jonathan wasn't a perv*rt and found the act

inappropriate.

However, they did lie down very close to each other.

They were forced to sleep on their sides in the snow pile because if they didn't, they would have difficulty breathing.

Although, they didn't slumber with their backs against each other because it'd make them look like an arguing

married couple. Instead, they lay in the snow as though they were a couple chatting on a bed, facing each other.

Yeverie was a bashful woman, so she closed her eyes while blushing, pretending to be asleep.

Jonathan had great eyesight. Therefore, he could see all the details on her countenance. She has pretty eyelashes.

After gazing at her for a while, he shut his eyes.

Although, he was actually feeling pretty exasperated. I've been wondering about something after walking around

for the whole day. Were we walking in the wrong direction? I can't help but feel like we're trudging toward the north

while we are at the north pole. If we are, then we're trekking straight into the afterlife.

He didn't have the nerve to voice his suspicions because nothing was pointing him in the “right” direction.

As far as he knew, every direction was the wrong direction. Hence, the only thing he could really do was to keep

moving forward.

After a while, Yeverie slowly opened her eyes. Peering at Jonathan, she suddenly thought he looked gentle while still

being as dashing as ever.

Softly, she asked, “Are you asleep, Your Majesty?”

Jonathan promptly lifted his eyelids and stared straight at her.

With a smile, he replied, “I can't sleep. What about you?”

Lowering her eyes, Yeverie stated, “I can't sleep, too.” She paused, then continued, “Do you think we'll be trapped

here forever, Your Majesty?”

Naturally, Jonathan didn't have the answer to that question. Still, he didn't want to shake her confidence. Thus, he

smiled reassuringly. “Of course not. We'll find a way out.”

“I believe you, Your Majesty.” The edges of Yeverie's lips curved upward.

“What a silly gal you are.” He chuckled, causing her to blush again.

Suddenly, she inquired, “Don't you think this place is strange, Your Majesty?”

“How so?”

“Even if we're in the north pole, we should've seen some local wildlife. Yet, we didn't spot a single life after roaming

around.”

Jonathan had thought about it earlier, but he didn't mention it.

When she brought it up, he grimaced.
