Ivy wanted to say something but did not wish to lie, so she simply changed the subject as fast as she could and glanced at her

phone. "Andrea, the taxi | called is here. | will get going now."

"Sure! Be safe!" Andrea watched as Ivy left.

When Ivy returned home, she was surprised to find her parents and Robert waiting for her in the living room.

She felt both moved and guilty. "Why aren't you sleeping? | am going to feel guilty if all of you stay up with me." She set her purse

down and walked over to pull her parents up from the couch.

"We slept and woke up when it was almost three," Avery explained with a smile. "This is your first day at work and we are all

excited. We won't stay up again."

"Okay. Go to sleep now! There are only a few hours until the sun rises!" Ivy urged.

"Are you hungry? Do you need anything to eat?" Avery asked.

"I'm not hungry. | just want to sleep," Ivy said.

"Get srest, then. Remember to remove your makeup," Avery reminded.
