Chapter 156~ Life saviour "Ryan, I found something," Adan said on the phone.

"What did you find?" Ryan asked, his heart racing. "Who's the one who saved me?" "Well, um... letsend it to you so that you see it for yourself," Adan replied. Adan cut the call and a few minutes later, Ryan received a text message from him. Ryan narrowed his eyes as he read the document that his friend sent to him.

His heart skipped a beat when he saw Larisa's non the document.

He had asked Adan to investigate and find out who had saved him all those years ago. From his findings, Ryan realised that Lora was the one who saved him when he was a child and a few years ago when he was kidnapped. How cLora never mentioned this? Could it be that she had lost her memory? Ryan didn't have the answers to his questions, so he waited until Lora visited him to ask if she recalled anything about the past.

However, his heart felt at ease to find out that the woman who had saved him was actually his darling wife.

It seemed they were destined to be together. In the end, they found their way back to each other despite the forces that tried to keep them apart.

A little while later, Lora went to the hospital. When she entered Ryan's ward, Ryan looked at her and asked, "Babe, have you ever lost your memory? Is there something you feel like you don't remember?" Lora frowned. She replied, "There was this one tI had an accident. I woke up in a hospital with no recollection of what had happened. The doctor said I might have gone through something traumatic that madewant to forget everything. I tried to recover my memory but nothing changed. So, I gave up. I remembered the important aspects of my life anyway, so I didn't really try to remember what I had forgotten." "I have something to tell you," Ryan said seriously and Lora looked up at him, a question mark on her face. "Does it have to do with my lost memory?" She asked.

Ryan nodded and replied, "I've found out who savedin the past." "Really?" Lora remarked and then her eyes widened when a lightbulb went off in her head. She asked, "Was it me?" Ryan grinned, his smile reaching his eyes as he answered, "Yes, it's you, my love. I don't know what happened or how you ended up being kidnapped withbut one thing is for sure, you're my life saviour. I can't thank you enough for saving my life back then and when I almost drowned too. We had once gone for a vacation in the Countryside when I was a child and I almost died." Lora's eyes suddenly widened. She exclaimed, "Wait a minute. Are you that kid who almost drowned in the Countryside? I grew up in an orphanage and we lived near the ocean. One day, I went to play asusual when I saw a boy go into the water but after stime, he couldn't break the surface. Since I was so good at swimming, I jumped in and pulled him out but I had to rush to the children's hso I left the boy with a little girl who knew him." Giving Ryan a once over, Lora asked excitedly, "Was that you?" "Yes, it was me," Ryan responded. "Unfortunately, Ivy took the credit for that and it makesfeel so terrible. All my gratitude was meant for you." Lora smiled and remarked, "Well, it doesn't matter anymore... Ivy is behind bars, getting what she deserves and you and I are still together. Our love grows stronger every day." "You're right," Ryan said. He looked at Lora and added, "Since you saved me, not once but twice, how can I repay you, Mrs Kingsley?" Lora smiled, her heart feeling full.

She recalled the past and a chuckle left her lips as she uttered, "You know, I may not remember the kidnapping, but I think I know why followed you and got kidnapped with you was so much in love with you when I was your personal assistant at that time. I may not remember saving you, but my love was consistent." "I wish I appreciated your love back then," Ryan replied. He frowned and said, "Cto think of it, you had asked for a sick leave during that time. How cI didn't get suspicious? I should have known you had gotten hurt trying to help me."

"I think we were meant to go through what we went through so that we can appreciate each other better," Lora stated, Rwarm smile on her face.

Ryan nodded, saying, "I think so too.

Lora's eyes watered with tears. She glanced at Ryan's pale face, her heart clenching at the renginder of their predicament. However, she maintained a smile on her face and responded, "I love you more, Mr Kingsley."

Ryan was about to reply when Doctor Steve knocked on the door and walked into the ward. He looked at the couple and announced, "I have good news for you. We found a donor!" "Really?" Lora exclaimed, glancing at the doctor excitedly. "Is the donor here already?" Doctor Steve looked at the door and remarked, "Yes, he is here. He's just getting changed because he wants to see you, Ryan." Ryan and Lora shared a look. Ryan gazed at Doctor Steve and inquired, "Is it someone we know?" "Yes, it is," Doctor Steve answered. He looked at the door and added, "Oh, here he is." The door suddenly opened and a tall figure walked into the ward, wearing a sterilised gown. He smiled at the couple and said, "Surprise!" Ryan and Lora's eyes widened in shock. Ryan looked at the man and remarked, "It's you!"
