Tims words were stark, but they rang true to Alyssa. It was the harsh reality, and it was her greatest worry.

Ryder was not one to back down. He had kept his relationship with Agnes and her child hidden so well over the

years, and he had even dedicated his entire career to saving the child. His affection for Agnes was clear as day in

long, disappeared for four years, I don’t believe that you can just forgive and forget and make peace with Jared. If

you want revenge, come at me. Don’t hurt Jared anymore. You have no idea how much he’s suffered these years.

You’re going to break him.”

Agnes suddenly lowered her head, “Alyssa, I’m sorry. I misunderstood you back then. It was my mistake. But we

were both fooled by Laura.”

Alyssa was taken aback, “What did you say?”

“Alyssa, I need to confirm something. Did you bribe the officials and then frame my mother?”

Alyssa quickly denied, “I didn’t do that. I only donated two million when she was in desperate need of money.”

“Yes, my mother was short on money, so you thought she took the bribe and her reputation was ruined. You

thought that money was what killed my mother and you were willing to take the blame. But the truth is not what

you think.”
