Agnes suddenly switched the topic, that reminded Tim.
He turned to Jared and asked, “Why haven’t you dumped Sharon yet? Need me to step in?”
Something flickered in Jared’s eyes,
He responded, “Don’t involve her, I can handle this.”
Tim snorted, “Can you? You’ve been saying that for three years. I think you’re bewitched by her. Don’t think I don’t
know about Sharon’s past. She used to work in a nightclub, she’s not clean. I’m surprised you’d let her near you.
You might not care about your reputation, but we, the Whitfield family, do.”
Agnes found the whole thing amusing.

always make mistakes over women?”
Agnes felt a pang when she heard Jared say “Sharon“.
She knew she was jealous.
She had mentioned divorce to Jared as a reminder to him and more so to herself.
They were divorced. She had no right to interfere in Jared’s life.
Over the past four years, Jared had had many lovers. That was his right, not her business.
But when she first found out about Sharon, Agnes had been indifferent.
Like most people, she assumed Sharon was just a tool for Jared to kill time.
At least, Sharon couldn’t be more important to Jared than Valeria.
But now Agnes understood, Sharon held an irreplaceable place in Jared’s heart because he was willing to risk
alienating his family for her.
“I know what I’m doing, so stay out of it!” Jared’s voice was firm.
Tim was already pissed, “You know what you’re doing? I don’t think you do. Sharon even tried to kill herself on your
engagement day. Do you really think she’s not manipulative? And this one,” he pointed at Agnes, “she was ruthless,
ruining Alyssa’s reputation. She hates the Whitfield family so much, why would she have your child? Now she’s
back, what’s her game? I won’t acknowledge her son as a Whitfield. Don’t even think about discussing

Tim was resolute.
Although Agnes was a bit disappointed to hear Tim deny Summer, she was also relieved.
It was best this way, with Tim standing in the way.
At least Jared couldn’t do whatever he wanted.
Agnes didn’t have to worry about Jared trying to get custody of Summer.
The Whitfield family had no intention of accepting Summer.
