demoted.”
Selina promptly left the elevator.
But she was still confused, “That’s not possible. If he’s not the boss’s child, why does he look so much like him?”
Leo hadn’t noticed this.
But when Selina pointed it out, upon looking at the boy again, Leo couldn’t shake off the resemblance between him
and the boss.
Leo rubbed his eyes in disbelief.
He had thought the boss would leave the boy in his office to be taken care of by his secretary.
But to his surprise, the boss took the boy straight to the conference room.

The boss even glanced at him a few times during the meeting.
They had been in meetings all day.
The boy woke up at three in the afternoon.
At that moment, they were in the middle of a crucial part of the meeting, with the financial director presenting the
semi–annual report. As soon as the boy woke up, Jared noticed.
He subtly raised his hand, signaling the financial director to pause his presentation.
Jared then walked over to the boy.
The boy sat up from the sofa and rubbed his eyes, “Sir, I’m hungry.”
Jared said, “I’ll take you to get something to eat.”
Then, under everyone’s gaze, Jared ignored all the shareholders and managers, and left with the boy.
Everyone in the conference room was stunned.
Not just them, even Leo thought the boss’s behavior towards this child was very unusual.
The boss was a notorious workaholic.
His longest meeting had lasted 16 hours, leaving everyone exhausted.
But when he stepped out of the conference room, he looked energetic, not a hint of exhaustion on his face.
