When Scarlett woke up, she found herself tied up with ropes in a room. Moreover, she was put on a bed, and her feet were shackled.

She seemed to be treated as a serious criminal. And the ropes and shackles made it impossible for her to escape.

The lights were on in the room, and beside the bed was sbread and water.

Scarlett felt a little hungry and cold.

But fortunately, there was a quilt covering her.

She sat up and thought quietly for a while. Finally, she picked up the bread and looked at the date of production.

The bread had been produced yesterday, and its shelf life was one week.

Though the bread was cold, at least, she had something to eat.

She had been awake for more than one hour. Yet, no one cto the room. After sitting for four hours or so, Scarlett felt a little sleepy.

She always becsleepy at around ten o'clock in the evening. Besides, as it was so quiet outside the room, probably no one would cto take care of her. In the end, she couldn't stay awake and lay down on the bed to sleep.

She didn't wake up until the next morning.

When the door of the room was pushed open, Scarlett opened her eyes.

Tiera cin with a glass of milk. Scarlett sat up with difficulty and looked at Tiera." Mrs. Fandel, your husband has been sent to prison, and he will be on trial on the seventh of next month. Even if you tookhere, you can't save him!" Scarlett paused and then asked, "What on earth do you want to do?" Tiera put down the milk on the table. Then she sat down beside the bed and untied the ropes around Scarlett's body. "Mrs.

Raymond, wash up and have breakfast.

You have to stay here for stime, but | won't hurt you. Trust me!" After untying the ropes, she took a glance at Scarlett and then turned around to leave.

Frowning, Scarlett didn't know what Tiera wanted to do.

Scarlett turned to look at the milk and hesitated for a moment. Then she put on her clothes and shuffled into the bathroom to wash up.

The house was obviously dilapidated, as the light in the bathroom was flickering, and the water heater looked very old. But there were brand-new toiletries on the washstand, which were specially prepared for her by Tiera.

After washing up, Scarlett walked out of the bathroom to drink the milk.

Today's weather was not good, and it was cloudy outside Looking out of the window, she could only see one path and couldn't figure out where she was at all.

Scarlett stood by the window for a while and then drew the curtains close.

She didn't know where she was or how long she was going to stay here.

Even if Scarlett was a strong woman, she would inevitably feel anxious and terrified when encountering such an incident.

Moreover, she was pregnant.

There was a desk in the room with a few books on it. Next to the desk was a wardrobe. Scarlett opened the wardrobe, in which there were brand new clothes. Even the underwear had been prepared.

There was a clock on the bedstand. When Tiera stepped into the room again, it was already half past twelve.

She brought several dishes and a bowl of soup.

Before Scarlett spoke, Tiera said, "Mrs. Raymond, I'm sorry that you have to stay here for stime." Scarlett had sat quietly for two hours, and she had calmed down. "Mrs. Fandel, you've confinedhere, and it is impossible forto escape. Even if you wantto stay here for stime, you should tellthe reason." Tiera gave her a complicated look. But in the end, she just said, "Don't worry. You'll be fine." It was the first tthat Scarlett had met such a person who would not say unnecessary words.

Tiera treated Scarlett well, as she would bring three meals to Scarlett a day on time. Sometimes, she even brought fresh fruit and supplements. For the sake of the baby, Scarlett would eat as much food as she could.

Though she was confined here, her life was not particularly difficult. But since she had been confined for several days, she becunhappy and restless. She even had nightmares sometimes.
