down on the corners of his eyebrows and suppressed the tears in his eyes. “My persistence all these
years has not been in

Kevin had witnessed how difficult Huston’s life had been over the years and how much he had suffered
in his heart. Now that he had such an outcome, he could understand the feeling of regaining what he
had lost. “Everything will be fine. As long as she is here, everything will be fine.”
Just as the two of them were deep in their conversation, there was a sudden thudding sound behind
them. Huston immediately turned around to look in the direction of the sound and saw Evelyn holding

bedside table beside her had been knocked to the ground.
Evelyn looked up in a panic and met his deep eyes.
Through a transparent glass door, their gazes met. Her first
reaction was to run!
Evelyn turned around and didn’t put on her shoes. Her toes fell on the ground, and she hurriedly ran to
the door. When her fingers touched the doorknob, a strong wind suddenly swept behind her. The next
second, she was carried up!
That’s right; it was carrying. Her head was facing down, and her stomach rested on the man’s shoulder.
Her whole body was facing down.
“Ah!” Evelyn was caught completely off guard. She cried out of surprise and pounded the man’s back
