Chapter 190
At the lawn dinner party, after Estelle left, Winnie chatted with Mrs. Macy, who gradually got drunk.
Schilder came over and gently put his arm around Mrs. Macy, smiling gently, “My lady hasn’t been drunk for a long time. She must be very happy today.”
Winnie, who also had a lot to drink, was still wearing a beaming smile, “Everyone is indeed happy today”
Schilder nodded apologetically to Baldrick, TII take my lady back to rest. See you tomorrow.”
Baldrick smiled, “It seems that Mrs. Macy is quite drunk. I’ll have Winnie accompany you both back”
As he spoke, he winked at Winnie.
Under the lamp, Winnie’s slightly flushed face paled a bit. Not sure if it was due to the alcohol or her
slow reaction, she just stood there.

on!”
Winnie seemingly regained her senses, let out a soft ‘Oh,‘ and joined Schilder to help Mrs. Macy back
to where they were staying.
It was late at night, as the warm breeze blew, Winnie’s hands and feet were ice cold. Looking back, she
saw that Baldrick had left, leaving behind the messy scene of plates and glasses on the once–buzzing
lawn. All that remained was an eerily desolate feeling.
The ruby on her neck sparkled brilliantly, a gift from Baldrick when he took her shopping earlier in the
day. Apparently, he’d already paid for her services tonight. The gemstone was icy cold, chilling her to
the core. She suddenly let out a laugh, raised her head, and provocatively raised her eyebrows at
Schilder, “Mr. Macy, you look so dashing tonight!”
Schilder glanced back, bis deep blue eyes like a vast ocean. He slowly smiled and said. “Thank you.”
The two helped Mrs. Macy into her bedroom, where a servant immediately came to attend to her.
Schilder dismissed the servant, personally changing Mrs. Macy’s clothes and carrying her to bathe
Winnie and the servant had no choice but to leave the room.
Half an hour later, Schilder emerged to find Winnie sitting on the sofa, her graceful body leaning on the
backrest, revealing her slender neck and good figure. She seemed to have fallen asleep.
“Ms. Winnie! Schilder spoke.
Winnie came to her senses, giving Schilder a gentle smile, “Is Mrs. Macy asleep?”
Schilder fixed his gaze on her and answered, “Yes.”

mind taking me back?”
Schilder didn’t move, his tranquil blue eyes looking straight at her. “I apologize, but I must tend to the lady. If Ms. Winnie needs it, I can call Mr. Anderson for you.”
Winnie couldn’t quite figure out this German man or whether he was intentionally testing her. She stood up, took a step forward, and pressed herself against the tall man, locking up at him,
blinking flirtatiously as if she was intoxicated, “I’ve never met such a well–mannered man like Mr. Macy. I’ve always wanted to learn German. Can we find a quiet place to chat?”
This man was clever, he couldn’t have misinterpreted her words.
Schilder spoke in a gentle tone, “It’s pretty late. Would Mr. Anderson mind?”
Winnie smiled charmingly. “He’s probably asleep already.”
“But I would mind.” Schilder replied coldly as he took a step back, disdainfully, “Ms Winnie, suit yourself. I’m going to attend to my wife.”
He then turned and walked toward the bedroom.
Winnie stared at the man’s retreating figure, her face resuming its usual expression, and her eyebrows unexpectedly raised slightly.
She walked downstairs, her steps light and brisk.
