Chapter 154
Estelle didn’t say anything. The mission order in front of her had a black eagle wing on it, which meant
she had to accept it, no choice given.
She concentrated, opened the mission order, and read it carefully.
“Boss, what’s the mission?” Blue Hawk asked.
Goshawk let out a smug laugh, tauntingly saying, “Looks like your curiosity got the better of you this
time!”
In response, Blue Hawk swiftly launched an attack wave towards the eagle head beside Goshawk.
Goshawk’s head became surrounded by floating stars, and he tumbled to the ground with a thud.
Shouting in disbelief, Goshawk exclaimed, “Damn! How did you manage that?”
Blue Hawk merely cast him a cold glance in response.
Estelle spoke softly, “I’ll handle this mission myself!”
“What?!” Goshawk immediately jumped up, “Boss, you’re doing it yourself?”
Blue Hawk stood up straight, “Is it a top–level mission?”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtEstelle gave a nod, staring at the text and pictures in her phone.
Goshawk felt a little excited, “I apply to join you on this mission!”
“Not necessary for now,” Estelle said calmly, “I’ll let you know when needed.”
Goshawk playfully groaned, “Boss, are you scared of letting us see your real face? Don’t worry, even if
you’re old and ugly, you’re still our boss!”
The three of them spoke through voice changers, so they had never seen each other and didn’t know
who the others were.
Without waiting for Estelle to reply, Blue Hawk sneered, “The boss is worried that you’re old and ugly,
and we can’t hang out together anymore!”
Goshawk spat, “Say that to my face!”
Despite his attempt to get Blue Hawk’s attention, Blue Hawk disregarded him.
Estelle responded with a calm and composed tone, “I’ll reach out to you if anything arises!”
Having spoken those words, she left the area.
She opened the door and left the room. Emily looked over, “You got something?”
Estelle sat down on the carpet and spoke softly, “After finishing the last two tutoring classes this
weekend, I’m going to look for a job.”
“What?” Emily was astonished, “Didn’t you say you’re going back to C City after finishing tutoring to see
your grandpa?”
Estelle’s expression slightly furrowed as she replied, “I guess I’ll have to wait until the end of summer
vacation.”
She had previously told her grandpa in a video call that she would be back in July, and he had nagged
her a lot. Now he was going to be so angry that he might fly over to hit her.
Two days later, Emily’s dessert shop training ended. She planned to pack up and go home that night.
But early in the morning, before she had even gone to work, she received a call from her mom telling
her to stay out a few more days.
The reason was her brother’s new girlfriend, who had moved to J City for work and had been renting a
place. Now the landlord was raising the rent, so she moved in with Emily’s family, staying in Emily’s
room.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmEmily frowned, “So when can I go home?”
Her mother persuaded her, “Your brother is helping her find a new place now. It shouldn’t be long
before she moves out. You can just bear with it for a few more days as a favor to your brother.”
Emily could only agree. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to give her future sister–in–law a place to stay, but
she didn’t know where to go. She couldn’t rely on Estelle forever.
Hearing her phone call, Estelle asked what’s up.
Emily told her the situation at home.
Estelle quickly said, “It’s not a problem. I’ve paid the whole month’s rent, so we can stay together until
the end of the month”
Emily felt a sense of embarrassment and apologized, saying, “I’m sorry for bothering you again.”
Estelle responded with a warm smile, reassuring Emily, “On the contrary, I’m even happier because I’ll
have someone to cook for me in the evening. I have to go to class now See you tonight.”
Emily waved at Estelle, feeling a heartwarming sense of warmth and gratitude.
This was the last two classes Estelle had to teach Henson before the final exams. Jonathan wasn’t
home. After class, Estelle played a shooting game with him to help him relax.
As they said goodbye, Henson couldn’t help but ask, “Will you come back after summer vacation?”
