Chapter 117 Babysitting
Lu Jinye was having breakfast at home. Sitting across him was Xiao Qingqing.

saw Lu Jinye relaxed his tone, saying to the caller, “Ok, I’ll go pick you up.”
Then hung up the call.
Xiao Qingqing immediately dashed back to her seat when Lu Jinye was done with the call. She
pretended like nothing had happened, returning to her seat only to notice that the bowl of soup had not
been touched.
She raised her head and asked casually, “Jinye, who called?”
“I asked your secretary about your schedule today, I was thinking to ask you to go shop for some items
for the baby with me.’
While asking who the caller was, Xiao Qingqing was exploring multiple ways to make Lu Jinye stay with
her today.
Lu Jinye had no intention to carry on with breakfast. He had headed for his coat as he turned back to
look at Xiao Qingqing, “Just let Madam Zhang accompany you later. This house is a little too small.
There’s another villa in the southern suburbs for the baby and you in the future.”
“Where are you going?”
Xiao Qingqing stood up, approaching Lu Jinye, and pulled his elbow in a toady way, “But, I feel it’s
more meaningful for both parents to handle the baby’s matters together.”
“I have some business to take care of at work.”
Lu Jinye muttered at her as soon as she finished her sentence. He used work as an excuse to get
away.
When work was mentioned, Xiao Qingqing had no means to refute. She must maintain her considerate
front. Thus, she nodded at Lu Jinye sorrowfully, allowing him to leave, and told him to take care of
himself.

She put on her jacket immediately and stormed out of the villa.
