"Oh, really?" Geoffrey said. "But I told you before if you were Sebastian's girlfriend, I wouldn't oppose it. Why didn't you say so then?" Rosalie chuckled awkwardly.
"Because the news was too sudden. We hadn't thought about marriage yet. After careful consideration and discussion, we decided to tell you the truth. We've been together for a long time." Rosalie held Sebastian's hand, faking the intimacy. "So, we hope you can cancel his engagement to Miss Jones."
