Maisie closed the lunch box and pushed it aside as Nolan told her to. She then looked at him fondly and
said, “It’s fine. You can do your work. I’ll stay here and look at you.”
Nolan was flipping through a document and froze. However, he did not say anything. Maisie did not
bother him while he was working. She just occasionally browsed the books displayed on the shelves
behind him or looked around at the decorations in his office. In short, she was looking around the office.
Seeing that she had no intention of leaving, Nolan frowned and lifted his head to look at her. “If you don’t
have anything else to do, you can leave first.”
“Am I bothering you?” Maisie withdrew her gaze and met his eyes.
Nolan looked at her. He realized that she had put some makeup on her face, and she looked as pretty
and alluring as the time he saw her.
Even he was having a hard time peeling his gaze away from her now.
Maisie leaned forward, half of her body propped on the desk as she looked at him fondly and chuckled. “I
thought you had no interest in me anymore, Mr. Goldmann. I never thought I would still be able to affect
you.”
Setting his jaw tightly, Nolan picked up the document, pulled himself away from her, and refused to look
her in the eyes.
Maisie lowered her head and bit her lip. She refused to give up just like that. As such, she got to her feet
