Chapter 452

Dakota was also coming up with a plan in her room.

She was a diligent and meticulous person. She wrote down her thoughts on pap She considered

various possible plans, how to implement them, the steps.

required, and the consequences.

Dakota’s mother brought her milk. Seeing that she was so diligent, her mother’s heart ached in

disapproval. The Saintess was just a little girl who had never seen the world. There was no need for

Dakota to go through so much trouble. Her daughter could easily fool the Saintess.

“Mom,” Dakota explained, “I don’t think it’s difficult to kill the Saintess. It’s just the she’s too irritable. I’m

worried that she’ll accidentally hurt me, so I want to be careful.”

“You’re right, you’re right.” Her mother nodded as she placed the milk on the table. “Drink this first.”

Dakota picked up the milk and drank it in one gulp. Her mother was curious. “What do you plan to do?

Tell me. I’ll give you some advice.”

Upon hearing what her mother said, Dakota looked confident. She pulled her mother’s hand as they sat

down together. “Mom, it’s the oath–taking ceremony of Star Competition tomorrow. I’ll bring the

Saintess over. You know she has lived with the servants since she was young. She has never seen the

world. She doesn’t understand many things. Her back is hunched. Her temperament is timid. She ha

never participated in big–scale events before. I’m sure she will have stage fright

tomorrow.

Appearance mattered. If someone who did not look pleasing to the eyes behaved arrogantly, there

would be no doubt that many would dislike such a person. “There will be many present at the oath–

taking ceremony tomorrow. I will make Berry look bad and let all of them see how unbearably arrogant

she is.” Dakota’s mother was amazed. Her eyes were filled with pride. “My daughter is

awesome!”

Dakota smiled. “Just wait and see. There’s going to be a good show tomorrow.” Olivia did not know

about the oath–taking ceremony at the Star Competition. She only knew about it when Dakota came

over to discuss it in the morning. “Must I go?” Olivia sat at the dining table. She asked while peeling

eggs.

Dakota’s tone was encouraging. “Of course. You have to go. You’re the Saintess. Our image. You’ll

bring strength to us with your presence.”

Olivia was not interested in such things. However, she knew she had to go after hearing what Dakota

said.

Her breakfast was relatively simple. It was milk and eggs.

Dakota looked around the table and frowned. The kitchen staff are too much. How can they give you

such a simple breakfast? I’ll go over now and ask them to make more dishes

Olivia replied. “If you wish. Just make sure they serve quickly. I’m not sure if my appetite will disappear

soon.”

Dakota pouted. She thought to herself that Berry was shameless to agree.

However, she was sure Berry’s arrogance would lead to her downfall. The more arrogant she was, the

more dissatisfied the others would be with her.

Dakota deliberately spoke loudly on her way to the kitchen. It was not long before news spread that the

Saintess was extravagant and wasteful.

“Have you heard? The Saintess eats ten dishes for breakfast. That’s too extravagant.”

“All of our efforts are for the sake of the golden voodoo worm to receive better care. It is not an excuse

for the Saintess to be extravagant.”

“Indeed, the Saintess has gone too far.

There were other similar comments. The Four Elders did not attempt to stop the news from spreading.

Many came to know of the Saintess’s extravagant breakfast even before the oath–taking ceremony

even began.

All of the dishes that Dakota ordered were served very quickly. They were exquisite dishes.

Unfortunately, Olivia did not have much of an appetite left. After eating two mouthfuls, she put down the

fork.

Dakota’s eyes lit up when she saw that. She quickly asked the servants to clear the dishes. She made

the servants circle the courtyard so that the others could see it themselves that the Saintess was

wasteful. If the food had been eaten, it would not be a concern. However, much of the food had been

wasted.

All those who had learned of the Saintess’s extravagance held their breaths. They

were upset.

The oath–taking ceremony would take place soon. It was held outdoors.

Olivia rode the car to get to the venue.

Dakota had deliberately timed for the Saintess to arrive late. They would only appear halfway through

the oath–taking ceremony.

The First Elder was making his speech on the podium.

A black car rode by as he was in the middle of his speech.

Everyone frowned.

They wondered about the people in the car. They dared to be late and interrupt the oath–taking

ceremony.

The car door opened. Dakota got out first. She was wearing a pure white dress. Her long hair was

draped over her shoulders. She looked vulnerable.

She had deliberately dressed up that way. She had planned to use her weak and

pitiful appearance to accentuate Olivia’s apparent arrogance.

Dakota ran to the other side. She opened the door for Olivia.

Everyone present had already guessed that it was the Saintess. They tiptoed and looked over curiously

with widened eyes.

The car door opened. They saw a red heel first. Then, they saw an oversized dark red cloak that

covered the person inside. There was even a wide hood on top. Not even a strand of hair could be

seen.

“The Saintess is wrapped up so tightly. The people began to discuss.

“Of course. I

Of course, shed that the Saintess is very ugly. She has a birthmark on her face.

Of course, she has to wrap herself tightly”

“Ugly people are troublesome. Can’t they behave? Why did she have to come to the oath–taking

ceremony? It’s fine if she came, but she’s late.”

Others continued to whisper under their breath.

Listening to everyone engaging in discussions, the smile on First Elder’s face deepened.

Things were proceeding the way he wanted.

“This way!” Dakota deliberately led Olivia to the most magnificent chair in the

center.

Dakota had come up with a plan. She would have the Saintess sit on the seat that belonged to the First

Elder. Dakota would then put on a pitiful look as she sat beside her. The people present would take pity

on her and abhor the Saintess. Olivia walked to the wide chair. She looked at Dakota. “Here?”

Dakota nodded timidly. “Yes, please sit here.”

“Alright.” Olivia nodded. Then, she raised her hands and nudged her cloak. Her cloak immediately drew

everyone’s attention.

Olivia sat in the seat comfortably. Her attitude was calm. She was unperturbed. It was as if she was

born to sit on that magnificent chair and become the center of everyone’s attention.

After she sat down, she took off her hood and veil. A mask with gold trimmings was revealed.

The mask was shaped like a butterfly. It was exquisitely beautiful. It was too majestic to ignore. The

face was covered. Only a pair of calm–looking brown eyes could be seen.

Olivia’s presence was amplified by the majestic–looking mask and her composed eyes. Dakota looked

like a helper next to her.

Everyone gasped upon seeing the Saintess.

Her

presence was too strong. It was impossible not to notice her.

The whole venue was silent. Everyone subconsciously stood up straight. They

held their breath as they looked respectfully at the Saintess sitting on the seat above.

Olivia’s gaze swept across the crowd below. Then, she raised her hand slightly. It was an indication for

the First Elder to continue speaking.

The First Elder had asked Olivia to join so that he could embarrass her. He did not expect her to have

such a strong presence. It was powerful and oppressive. She instantly controlled the scene and stole

the limelight. She was supposed to look like a joke. However, she seemed every bit like a boss.

For no reason, the First Elder lost his confidence. It was as if he was a small leader working for her.
