Rachel replied generously, “Hello, I’m Rachel Grey.”

have to go out to socialize tonight.”

It was like a routine report. There was no emotional communication between young couples.

Miriam’s gaze flickered. “When will you be done?”

“I’m not sure.” Lucas frowned slightly. He probably felt that his attitude was too cold, so he

added, “It’s been really busy at the company recently. There are some things that I need to deal with personally.”

Miriam nodded. “I understand.”

She picked up the cup in front of her and took a sip. She lowered her gaze to hide the emotions in her eyes.

She thought, “Does he treat me as his fiancée or not? I was talking to him out of goodwill, but he’s reporting back

to me like a block of wood.

“Those who don’t know better would think that we are superior and subordinate!”

The group split up after the meal.

Rachel and Eleanor walked behind.

Eleanor held Rachel’s hand and said earnestly, “Rae-Rae, your brother has always listened

to your advice the most. Why don’t you go and enlighten him? I’m really worried that he will take things too hard.”

Although it was a marriage alliance, it had to be consensual.

If the two of them did not share the same ideas and forcefully got together, it would probably result in a situation

Just call me by my name.”

“Alright, I’ll call you Rae-Rae. You can call me Miriam.”

“Sure.” Rachel looked at Miriam and did not butter up to her. She asked directly, “Why are you looking for me?”

“It’s nothing.” Miriam pursed her lips and said tentatively, “I just wanted to ask if you have

time to walk around with me in the afternoon?”

Rachel could not figure out the intention behind Miriam’s request.

She thought for a moment and replied, “Sure.”

Hearing this, Miriam’s face lit up. “That’s great. I’ve been bored to death in the hotel alone these past few days.”

She was unfamiliar with this place and wanted to look for Lucas, but she was worried that he would be annoyed.

Now, she finally found someone who was willing to accompany her.

Miriam did not stand on ceremony with Rachel at all. She pulled Rachel into the car and drove to the largest

department store in Seaxas.

The two of them did not notice the group of people walking out of Tastyhaus when they got into the car.

The person in the lead was Hans.

When he walked out of the door, although he only saw Rachel’s back, he still recognized her at a glance.

He had asked people to inquire about Rachel ever since he came to Seaxas. However, no one knew much about

her.

Rachel was a mysterious existence in Seaxas. Unless she was willing to show her face, they had no way to inquire

about her, nor did they have the chance to spy on her.

Now that he saw Rachel getting into a luxury car, his eyes flashed with a cunning plan.

He thought, “Could it be that she has hooked up with someone else?”
