David’s dark eyes stared at Rachel without blinking and he bent down, his lips grazing the side of her ear as he

spoke in a low voice. “My fiancée suddenly disappeared, I got really scared.”

David’s deep voice was filled with coaxing gentleness, making Rachel’s heart beat wildly.

Rachel’s fingertips curled up slightly, but she pretended not to understand. “And?”

“Am I not making myself clear enough?” David raised his eyebrows slightly, and his hand on her waist tightened a

little, almost like he was looming over her.

Rachel blinked, her clear eyes pure and innocent.

It was as if Rachel was saying, “What are you talking about? Why don’t I understand a word?”

David narrowed his eyes slightly and pulled Rachel into his arms forcefully. Their two bodies pressed. against each

other tightly, and he slowly bent down, his lips touching the side of her ear lightly as he whispered. “I also need

psychological counseling. You know, the kind which aligns the depths of our souls together.”

David’s warm breath blew against her temples and swept away the stray hairs by her ears.

David’s deep and magnetic voice was s**y and low, making Rachel’s ears tingle.

Rachel looked up at David’s deep bottomless black eyes, and her heart ski pped a beat.

They were both adults, so of course she knew what David was hinting at.

Rachel lowered her eyes and cleared her throat, pushing David away slightly. “I’m going to the kitchen to get Mary

something to eat.”

With that, she nimbly crawled out of David’s embrace and left in a hurry without looking back.

Looking at her fleeing figure, the corners of David’s lips suddenly curled up into a smile that carried a hint of

pretentiousness.

She could hide now, but she couldn’t hide forever.

In the living room downstairs, Landon sat on the sofa with one leg crossed over the other. He held a cigarette

between his fingers and rested his arm on the armrest. “Speaking of which, we’re considered family from now on.

Can we share information?”

It was not just a coincidence that Red Flame was famous. It was also because of their superior information system.

If Red Flame could share their information with Landon, it would save him a lot of trouble in the future.

When Vulture heard this, he looked up, glancing at Landon.

another half-price?”

“Are you threatening me?” Vulture raised his eyebrows at Jimmy, giving a faint smile that held a hint of provocation.

Right at this moment, Rachel came down the stairs.

Rachel’s gaze swept across the group and landed on Vulture. “When are you leaving?”

“I’ll leave when it’s peaceful here. When Vulture saw Rachel, he immediately changed his arrogant sitting posture.

“If it’s convenient, can we talk later?”

Vulture felt that it was necessary to tell Rachel about the photo.

Rachel stared at him for a moment and nodded. “Okay.”

Rachel estimated that Mary was about to finish her bath, so she turned around and walked into the kitchen.

After preparing everything, Rachel returned to the bedroom, and Mary emerged from the bathroom after a short

while.

After Rachel had coaxed Mary to eat the food she’d prepared, they crawled into bed and started talking. Just like

When Mary stopped talking and fell asleep, Rachel rolled over and yawned. She pulled the blanket over herself and

turned, closing her eyes and drifting off into a deep sleep.

Perhaps it was because she had not slept with Mary for too long, but Rachel did not sleep well that night. As a

Rachel turned to look at Mary, who was sleeping beside her.

Then, Rachel gently lifted the blanket off herself and climbed out of bed.

After washing up and getting dressed, Rachel walked out of the bedroom.

Rachel had planned to go downstairs for breakfast, but for some reason, she found herself in David’s bedroom.

By the time she realized where she was, Rachel was already at David’s bedside.

Upon seeing Rachel, David was slightly stunned before he noticed Rachel’s slightly bloodshot eyes. David frowned

slightly. “You didn’t sleep well?”

Rachel felt lethargic and there was a throbbing pain in her temple. She didn’t really feel like talking.

Rachel just nodded.

“Then sleep with me for a while longer.” David held Rachel’s hand and pulled her onto the bed and right into his

arms.

The familiar crisp wooden fragrance lingered in her nose, dissipating some of Rachel’s frustrations.

Rachel looped her arms around David’s lean waist and leaned into his embrace. She arched her head slightly

before she fell asleep again.

As the sun rose higher, everyone was slowly waking up and gathering in the living room.

Mary was not familiar with this group of people, but their arrogant and domineering appearances had made an

impression on her.

Mary knew very well that these people were big shots that she could not afford to offend. She simply sat quietly in

the corner of the sofa and waited for Rachel.

Vulture and Blackhawk were quite polite to Mary because of Rachel.

After greeting her, they sat on the sofa opposite Mary.

Vulture kept looking upstairs. “What time is it? Why isn’t Twelve awake yet?”

“It’s not just Twelve. Didn’t you notice that David hasn’t come down either?” Blackhawk said quietly.

When the Vulture heard this, his expression changed.

Vulture snorted in annoyance. “Shameless.”

It was broad daylight and David was leading Twelve to do naughty things!

Mary didn’t say anything, merely blinking and glancing at Vulture.

Mary had a gut feeling that the man in front of her was definitely interested in Rac-Rae.

As that thought crossed her mind, Mary heard footsteps coming from upstairs.

Everyone turned and saw Rachel and David walking down.

“If you were still not going to come down, I was about to leave!” Vulture raised his chin proudly, but his gaze kept

bouncing back towards Rachel from time to time, sizing up the expression on her face..

Rachel frowned slightly. “You’re leaving?”

“That’s right,” Vulture said. “Any later and I’m afraid the situation will get out of control.”

North Traca had always been an unregulated area.

Riots occurred frequently and if it dragged on, Vulture was worried that the situation would worsen. As Vulture

spoke, he gave Rachel a look.

Rachel immediately understood and turned to look at David. “I’m stepping out for a while.”
