In the half–underground wine cellar, the wine cabinets made of glass on all four walls were filled with a
dazzling array of famous wines.
In front of the black–and–gold marble bar counter, David Jones and Landon Walker sat side by side.
Jimmy Shain was walking around like a tourist.
It was not that Jimmy Shain had not seen something like that. It was just that David Jones treasured
this wine cellar so much that he barely let anyone in.
“You were never a nosy one.” Landon Walker played with the whisky tumbler in his hand and gave a
sneering smile.

Upon hearing his words, Jimmy Shain quietly walked to the bar counter.

shirt was rolled up to his biceps, revealing his porcelain–white skin, and his clean and slender fingers
wrapped the wine glass.
The amber liquid in the glass made his knuckles look almost translucent.
The warm lighting around the bar counter shone on David Jones like a coating of golden light, softening
his strong aura.
He raised his head and finished the wine in his glass. He slowly glanced at Jimmy Shain. “There is
going to be a shipment at the docks tonight. You are in charge of it.”
Jimmy Shain was stunned.
He was drowned in embarrassment and anger.
No explanations would make sense.
Landon Walker’s lips curled up into a gloating smile. He coughed lightly and straightened his
expression. “Is that woman from the Johnson family?”
He could not think of any other reason.
Upon hearing this, Jimmy Shain raised his eyebrows in surprise. He licked the corner of his lips with
the tip of his tongue as if he could smell an affair happening. He stared intently at David Jones. “Do not
tell me you have desires for that young lady of the Johnson family, who has a different family name.”
They did not forget David Jone’s sole purpose of returning to Seaxas.
He came back to break off the engagement with the Johnson family. Yet, David Jones did not mention
anything about the annulment of the engagement after such a long time. That aroused their suspicion.
“To be fair, that woman looks scintillating, very similar to you, I must say, but other than that, I do not
think she is worthy of you at all,” Jimmy Shain commented bluntly. The harshness in his words was a
little like a vicious mother–in–law.

Landon Walker nodded in agreement. “With her capability, I am afraid she will not be able to move at
will in the Jones family and earn anyone’s recognition. You have to remember one thing. Whoever

He leaned back and rested one arm on the bar stool. His deep and cold voice sounded unhurried. “As
long as she is willing to, I can push her up to an untouchable position that no one can reach.”
David Jones sounded casual, but the two people in front of him could hear the implication of arrogance
and supremacy.
