Chapter 96
Actually, this was not very surprising when Hunter heard Aiden’s name came out of Kellan’s l*ps. He had his own guess since
the very beginning that this scum like alpha must be the one, who had made a contact
with Kellan.
That man was too petty to let go of the matter with Lilac. Despite the fact the mate bond between them had disappeared, it
seemed his ego couldn’t take it.
“So, It’s Aiden, huh?” Hunter scoffed, he smirked viciously at Kellan, which made the man’s back shivered in fear. The look on
the alpha’s face was pure evil.
Actually, Kellan didn’t mean to mention anything about Aiden, but he couldn’t help it and the name just sl*pped from his mouth.
“I assume your daughter will be there too?” Hunter raised his brows, he folded his arms in front of his chest, as his eyes fixed on
Kellan. That man looked trouble when he tried to take back what he had said. “I have never said anything like that,” Kellan said
grimly. His eyes met with Hunter’s and he felt this urge to lower his head, even though Hunter didn’t use his alpha’s voice, or he
even tried to intimidate Kellan.
Yet, somehow, as the alpha, it came very natural for him to make his opponent shrivel and tremble.
“I think I will find out later.” Hunter tilted his head. “Do you think I will spare your daughter? You should know the punishment for a
traitor.”
Every traitor would be killed, along with their family and that was not a threat, but that was a rule in the lycan pack.
“I will have your mate and your second daughter to be hanged tomorrow and you will watch them.” Hunter’s voice was very icy,
as if he was talking about something else entirely.
close and for the alpha to say something like that was something Kellan didn’t expect at all.
He stared at Hunter for a long time before his eyes turned very hard, as he cursed at the alpha with passion, as if hatred had
blinded his eyes and clouded his mind.
“Don’t you dare to touch my mate and my daughter! I am going to kill you!” Kellan roared angrily at Hunter, but the alpha didn’t
budge.
“See you tomorrow, Kellan.” With that Hunter went out of the cell. He couldn’t get what he wanted about the information of the
lycan, but at the very least, he learned about Aiden’s involvement. “That bastard!” Hunter muttered to himself.
He should have killed that man if he knew the relationship between him and Lilac, it would save him a lot of time instead of
making him a hero, who had killed the alpha lycan.
Of course, Hunter knew Aiden’s involvement the moment Kellan mentioned about the death of his father. There was no one else
knew about that aside from his beta and gamma and... Aiden, because he himself, who had told him about that.
“Hunter!” Darren approached Hunter, his expression was ashen, which indicating there was nothing good about the news that he
would report to Hunter. “This is not good!”
Hunter hated it when someone gave him bad news, but he needed to listen to that. His silent was enough to make his beta kept
talking.
“Kellan’s mate and his daughter had disappeared. From the look of it, they had left the pack as the same time of the attack.”
Darren furrowed his brows and was alerted when he saw how dark Hunter’s face was. Now they lost Grace and their other
leverage to know about the other lycan pack. Torture didn’t work on Kellan and they couldn’t threaten him without his family was
here.
This was a difficult situation.
Silent stretched out in this cold dungeon, as the alpha grew fearful by second, even as the beta, Darren could feel the pressure
that came from his alpha, as he waited for his next instruction.
Belon
However, who would have thought that Hunter chose to stride away from there and returned to the pack house without even
saying anything.
He wanted to see his mate...
“A- alpha Hunter...” Raya was a little bit stuttering when she saw Hunter entered the room, she
immediately stood up from the chair she was sitting in, as she watched how the alpha went to see his mate first before he did
anything else.
“How is she?” Hunter asked, but his eyes focused on his mate and wouldn’t leave her face. He treated other people like air.
This was why, Lilac always felt a little bit confused with how people around Hunter acted very fearful toward him and gave him
the utmost respect an alpha deserved, but at the same time, Lilac would feel none of the people could relax in the alpha’s
presence.
“Lilac is fine, she is...”.
“Luna,” Hunter said, he cut her off. “She is a luna now.” He shifted his attention toward Raya, but this made her flustered and
lowered her head.
“Yes, alpha...” Raya said timidly. She was afraid, her heart was thumping wildly, as she explained Lilac’s condition and what
Grace told her before.
It took a few minutes for Raya to explain the detail of what happened to the alpha and then stopped talking when there was
nothing more to say.
“You can leave,” Hunter said sternly, his eyes already fixed on his mate, while Raya went out of the room and left.
But before she closed the door, she saw the alpha leaned his b*dy and k*ssed Lilac’s neck, the place where he had marked her
and she could only imagine the alpha was licking the wound on her neck, because that was their habit to lick their wound, to help
it healed faster.
