“Wow! That’s amazing! He could make the paper crane fly?”
“Is this the occult expert they were talking about? This is truly impressive!”
The display by Theodore left the Welch family in awe. They’d only heard about such things in stories
but had never seen them in real life. “What do you think? Now, do you believe in Sir Crane’s abilities?”
Ezra said proudly.
“Wow, that’s what you call a true master!” Alistair exclaimed with a newfound respect. He thought, “If
Dad is truly under some sort of spell, then only someone with extraordinary abilities could cure him.”
“But it’s just a simple trick, really, nothing much,” Theodore remarked casually, appearing humble.
“The crane trick we just saw is just a small part of his skills. Sir Crane has more in store for us. Let’s
eagerly await the next performance,” Ezra added.

Grandpa will be fine.”
Ezra smiled smugly. But Eleanor responded dismissively with a huff and averted her gaze. Ezra looked
embarrassed for a second but quickly covered it up.
Instead, he looked at Brooke and said nonchalantly, “Dr. Busch, I heard you mention that you know
another occult expert. Is this person possibly more skilled than Sir Crane?”
Ezra had been eyeing the Harmony Healers for a while, but Brooke’s resistance was a thorn in his side.
“Well…” Brooke hesitated, feeling cornered. “Sir Crane is unmatched in his mastery of the occult.”
“If you’re not up to the task, there’s no need to be embarrassed that you can’t. We’ll leave Mr. Welch
Senior’s strange sickness to Sir Crane,” Ezra said, implying that Brooke was inadequate.
Brooke furrowed his brow but quickly regained his composure. In the end, he said nothing since he
knew he couldn’t afford to provoke someone of Ezra’s stature.
“Mr. Swanson, don’t jump to conclusions so fast. We don’t know who’s making a fool of themselves yet.
A calm voice chimed in suddenly.
Everyone turned to the source of the voice and saw a casually dressed, handsome young man strolling
over. It was none other than Dustin.
“Dustin!” Eleanor’s face lit up with joy as she rushed to greet him. “Why are you here?” “I heard from
Dr. Busch that your grandfather is suffering from a strange sickness, so I came to have a look,” Dustin
said with a smile.
“Oh, so you’re the occult expert that Dr. Busch mentioned?” Eleanor quickly realized. “I wouldn’t call
myself an expert, just someone who knows a bit about occult, “Dustin modestly replied.
“Ha! You know just a little, and yet you’re showing off? Aren’t you afraid of making a fool of yourself?”

Since the incident at the Imperial Oasis Club the day before, Ezra had held a grudge against Dustin.
This resentment prompted him to ask Sheehan for help by involving Theodore.
But as Ezra was about to take his revenge, an unexpected crisis hit the Welch family. Hence, Ezra
quickly brought in Theodore to gain their favor. What Ezra didn’t expect was Dustin showing up; it
ruined his plans now!
“Look at Mr. Swanson’s expression,” Dustin said, a sly smile on his lips. “It seems like he’s not very
pleased. How about we continue the game from yesterday?”
“You-” Ezra’s temper flared briefly. He wanted to retort, but his concern for his image kept him in check.
Dustin dared to provoke Ezra, pushing his patience to the brink.
“Who is this?” Alistair seemed puzzled.
“Dad, this is Dustin Rhys, a doctor who once saved my life. Now, he’s a dear friend of mine.” Eleanor
spoke. She intentionally cast a glance toward Ezra as if bragging.
