Chapter 1452 Out of Danger
An unreadable look appeared in Timothy's eyes at Nicholas' words.
Meanwhile, inside the ER, the doctors and nurses were treating Tessa's wounds as
efficiently as possible. As she had lost a lot of blood, her vitals had dropped to dangerous
levels at one point. Fortunately, after an hour of emergency treatment, she was finally out
of danger, and the doctor hobbled out of the ER, looking as though a huge stone had been
lifted off his shoulders.
The second he appeared, he was surrounded by Nicholas and the others.
"How's my wife doing?"
"Doctor, is my sister going to be okay?"
Nicholas and Timothy bombarded the doctor with several questions while the others
looked at him with worry in their eyes.
The doctor understood what they were going through, so he didn't mind the rough
treatment. Instead, he did his best to brief them about Tessa's condition. "The patient is
fine now, but she's very weak due to excessive blood loss. She'll need to rest well after
this, and it will be best if she does it through a nutritious diet."
His words set everyone at ease, and the tense line of their shoulders disappeared as they

"I remember we have a piece of century-old ginseng at home. Once she's awake, I'll have
it made into a nutritious tonic for her. I'm sure it'll pair well with other foods," Stefania
said, immediately making dietary plans for Tessa.
Tobias nodded in agreement at her idea, and Timothy said earnestly, "That's so kind of
you. Thank you, Mrs. Sawyer."
However, she shook her head and answered, "You don't have to thank me. This is the least
I can do. Moreover, she's in this situation now because of the in-fighting within the Sawyer
Family."
Nicholas didn't pay any mind to their conversation as he kept his gaze on the doctor and
pressed, "Besides being physically weak, is there anything else I should pay attention to?"
"Yes." The doctor nodded and told him the points he had to watch out for about Tessa.
"She has a minor head concussion and will experience symptoms such as dizziness and
nausea once she's awake. At that time, make sure she doesn't move around too often.
Also, her palms are severely grazed. We've cleaned the wounds, but they shouldn't get in
contact with water for the time being. All the other cuts are not an issue, and they should
be fine in a few days if the bandages are changed accordingly."
Once they heard the doctor's advice, the others were well and truly reassured. Meanwhile,
Nicholas took everything he said to heart, making a mental note to pay extra attention to
them.
A few minutes later, Tessa was transferred to a ward, and all the wounds and cuts on her
had been attended to.
When Nicholas and the others entered, the first thing that caught their attention was the
bandages wrapped around her head. Besides, her face was as white as a ghost due to
blood loss. She was akin to a silent doll as she lay on the bed, but everyone's heart
wrenched at the sight.
Gregory darted to the side of the bed, gently held her hand, and sniffled. "Mommy…" he
called in a whisper.
Tessa couldn't answer, but that didn't bother him as he stayed by her side quietly.
As time passed by and she showed no signs of waking up, Gordon, who had been sleeping
soundly, woke up from hunger and started squirming and squealing in Stefania's arms.
Stefania immediately rose to her feet with the baby in her embrace and said that she
would return home with the children. "I don't think Tessa will wake up tonight, so I'll be
bringing the children home with me. I'll visit tomorrow morning."

long time wouldn't do any good for his tiny body.
Nicholas nodded. "I'll get someone to drop you off."
Then, he turned to Kieran and passed the task of arranging for someone to drop their
parents home to him.
Kieran didn't say anything and started to make the arrangements when Gregory became
difficult. "I don't want to go. I wanna stay and wait for Mommy to wake up." He held
Tessa's hand tightly with an unwavering gleam in his eyes, showing Stefania how
determined he was. So, she didn't force him to go with her because she knew how worried
he was and only went home with Gordon, leaving Timothy and Sabrina in the ward.
Timothy's exhaustion was as clear as day, especially to Nicholas. Still, Timothy insisted on
staying behind, which prompted Nicholas to say, "I'll be here by Tessa's side. You should
return to your ward and rest. I'll send someone to inform you once she's awake."
"I'll wait here a little longer," Timothy insisted bullheadedly as he declined the suggestion
without a single moment of thought. The unease in his heart could only be eliminated
once he saw that his sister was awake.
Although Nicholas knew what was on his mind, he advised, "I know you're worried about
Tessa, but you're not doing very well yourself. Are you sure you want your sister to worry
about you the minute she wakes up?"
