Sam's expression turned somber and he muttered, "Well, that doesn't look good.”
It was obvious the entire case against Cordy was so rock solid that it had to be set in motion by
someone with powerful influence. If they did not have John's connections now, it would take a miracle
for Cordy to escape a prison sentence.
"I'll try to contact Johnny. He would probably want Quinn on Cordy's case anyway, so give her the
details. Once he's back, well get right down to business and find the solution," Jay told Sam right then.
"Okay."
Within the detention center, Cordy was a little surprised to see Quinn, but she soon came to a
realization-John must have arranged her to be Cordy's legal advisor.
She did not know much about Quinn, aside from the fact that she was Sam's wife and working at
Saunderia. She only inadvertently found out later that Quinn was actually their legal advisor.

your case."
"Yeah," Cordy replied, but it was not her being enthusiastic.
She just knew all too well who the mastermind was, and she had a hard time accepting John's
goodwill.
Moreover, she was not convinced that John could help her in any way.
Quinn could sense Cordy's mood too, and she said, "I first need to make sure something so that we
can put together a better defense for you at court-have you been involved in bribery or tax evasion?"
"No," Cordy replied—even if she had no hope, she had not fallen so far that she would just give up
altogether.
Quinn did not doubt her, too. She could see from one glance that this case was odd, and then there
was also Zoe.
If Zoe felt this strongly for Cordy, her character would not be that bad.
"However, I have evidence of your crimes," Quinn said and pushed a stack of papers toward Cordy.
Cordy had actually read them before after being brought here, but Quinn elaborated on them
regardless.
"Here are the details: exhibit one-bank records. Although it was not a direct transfer from any of your
accounts, there have been six consecutive wire transfers from the accounts of Helen Zalenski's
relatives to one account belonging to Henry Lane, the tax bureau deputy commissioner. Ms. Zalenski is
one of Starstream Group's accountants, and the money wired to her relatives was from your account,
totaling to a sum of over one million dollars."
"And here is Starstream Group's revenue report for the last fiscal year. There is over 7 million dollars
worth of unreported taxable income, and every sheet has your personal signature and stamp."
"Last but not least, an anonymous source has provided multiple photos of you socializing with Henry
Lane, which would further fuel the court case against you."
Quinn then summarized, "It seems that they have all the evidence they need."

"I never wired any money to Henry Lane," Cordy replied definitively. "I've socialized with Henry Lane
under perfectly legal circumstances, and that was before I took over Starstream Group. It's an
unspoken rule in business to make as many connections as possible."
Quinn naturally believed Cordy and asked, "Have you received any notification regarding changes in
your bank balance?"
"None." Cordy narrowed her eyes, wondering just then how many strings that woman had to pull to do
this.
"Also, I did not open this account," Cordy then added.
"In other words, it's a dummy account set up to incriminate you." Quincy nodded. "However, opening an
account requires you to be at the bank personally. In short, if we secure evidence that you did not open
this bank account, there's a chance to set up your defense."
Cordy, however, was not at all optimistic. "Do you think she would make a mistake like that?"
